Frankly, given that this decade has been a rather shitty one, both for the US and myself personally, I intend to refer to it as “the Shits.” Except when I’m a cranky old bastard and I’m talking to a bunch of young whippersnappers. Then I’ll say, “If you’d been alive back in aught five, I’d have kicked your ass faster than I’m about to now!” 
The only times I’ve even heard this time of history given a name is on political talk shows, when they often refer to events of 2000-2001 as “the turn of the century”. As far as everyday life, nobody I’ve heard calls it anything special.

I vote for “the two-thousands” and 2010-2019 being called “the twenty-tens”, not very elegant but it’s how I see it.
