What are/were the greenest set of eyes that you have ever seen?

According to Cecil, “Eye color is mainly a function of the pigment melanin. If your eyes have a lot of it, they’re brown. If they don’t, they’re blue. (Some details of this explanation are in dispute, but don’t worry about that now.) Green eyes result from yellowish flecks of fatty pigment against a dark background. Some men think a green-eyed woman is exotic. The truth is she’s got fat eyes.”

If I know anyone with greener eyes than me, it’d be my friend Irene. And I’m not gonna be the one to tell her her eyes are fat.

For some reason Portugal seems to have cornered the market on green eye-yed-ness. (phon). I know that genetically, green eyes should be as common as blue, yet some how they aren’t, they are more rare than blue.

My Mr Dude has the mossiest limpid green pools I ever hope to gaze into.

Miz kitty also has green eyes, but they’re more celery colored.

OK, this is an actress and not someone I know, but Meg Foster has absolutely incredible green eyes (though they look blue in that photo).

In high school I saw her in the movie “They Live.” Twelve years later, I saw her in “The Minus Man,” and I immediately said, “Hey! That’s that lady with the eyes!”

My ex had the most beautiful eyes - jade green with gold flecks, surrounded by the thickest, longest, blackest lashes. I could’ve gazed into them forever.

I also know an Indian guy with very light green eyes, it does look very striking

Mine when I am very, very emotional. Usually they are a nice hazel but ever so often they are as green as ivy.

My eyes are very green.

Mine too. Especially when I am wearing green, or wearing certain eye-makeup. It’s weird, both my parents have blue eyes, and my brother has the bluest eyes I have ever seen. But somehow I ended up with green.

My eyes are green. My three sisters’ and one brothers’ eyes are green. None of our children has green eyes. None, not one.
Strange. Green must not be dominant.

That was clearly me posting, on his laptop.

I was wondering…

My best friend Betty has amazing green eyes - till she takes her contacts out. It took me a while to figure that out. I’m kinda slow sometimes.

My friend Katherine. They’re absolutely stunning, like an alien sunset is frozen in her eyes. So stunning that hormone-filled teenagers at our school usually stare at her eyes, rather than her extremely ample breastage.

My husband. His are gorgeous, soft green. Sometimes almost blue, sometimes almost hazel, but always gorgeous.

[slight hijack] and why do guys always get the damn fine lashes? Sigh. [/slight hijack]

I hear ya, DaisyFace. Dave’s got beeyooootiful girly eyelashes.

:ducks:

A buddy of mine’s wife has those kind of eyes. People meeting her for the first time always stare. She’s frequently asked if she can see in the dark. (Why that, I don’t know.)

It’s a case of too much of a good thing and the overall effect is frightening. If her eyes didn’t dominate so much, she’d be quite attractive.
