This thread somehow mutated in my brain into thinking about my eyes. They’re called hazel, or if you’re feeling specific, green-brown hazel. But the real color is a lot more complicated than that. They’re really a light green with an inner radiating ring of light brown streaks, with a thick outer ring of a dark gray-blue. It’s no wonder that they seem to change color all the time.
I do to. Maybe it’s because that’s how I would describe my eyes. Except they’re not pretty. They’re rugged, handsome in a dashing sort of way, causing women to swoon when cast in their general direction.
Anybody who knows me in real life is laughing themselves silly about now.
Almost completely black. I’ve never really ever been able to tell where my iris is (I have to take it on faith that I have one). Even when I shine a light right on my eye, it’s just a deep tarry pool. I feel like I got totally robbed when it comes to eyes. I envy people who actually have different colors and flecks and pretty stuff.
I have no freakin’ idea. Kind of green, but not really green green. I think they have a couple different colo(u)rs. There’s a kind of reddish/brown semi-octagonal line thing, but mostly a kind of green, I think.
According to my license, they’re blue. I’m going with bluish-grey. Cite here.
Also I have a brown star in the center, which you can never see in photos, because I have freakishly large pupils. Normally my freakishly large pupils drown out any eye color I have in photos–the above, shmaltzy picture was the only one I could find where my eye color was clearly visible.
Vibrant green, most of the time. This picture is a year or two old, but they haven’t really changed. Except now I have someone saying they look blue. I don’t see it.
Oh, one thing I heard, not sure if it’s true, but that your iris that has dots or more coloring, variations, is the dominant side. So, if you’re left handed, like me, your left iris will have more variations. Cool.
Mine are basically grey, that most people try to classify as a “lazy” blue- meaning kind of dull-colored blue, but they do tend to look much bluer if I’m wearing something blue, and lean towards a greener color if I’m wearing something green.
Green. Unmistakeably green. And also apparently a little bloodshot today. A lot of people I meet in real life think they’re brown, because I wear glasses and they just don’t pay attention, and almost everybody else in my family has brown eyes. There’s a darker blue-green ring around the outside and a yellow ring around the pupil, because my eyes are fat, yo.
