Everyone goes on about watching these two and looking forward to the new series and blah blah blah. I’ve never got into it. Millionaire or the Weakest Link, anytime. The Simpsons:
Or more specifically, any Simpsons episode with music or singing in it. Normal episodes like the Itchy and Scratchy one I saw this evening are fine. I don’t know what it is about the music in it, but it drives me up the wall every damn time. And I love music normally. maybe that’s it… Interpreting Literature:
Actually, I’m certainly not alone in this where I am–everyone who took English Lit regrets it by now, but so many people here seem to love reading and classic literature. I’m not one of them. Beans:
Almost all of the foods in this list I get on fine with. Not baked beans. I’ve never liked them, and my English Breakfast plate tends to look a little empty. Alcohol:
Big problem where I am. It’s not the taste, more the realisation the next day that you’ve spent so much money and all you’ve got for it is a hangover.
Wine. I mean any wine. I have not tried many, I’ll admit that, but I just don’t like it. Although I am prepared to admit there may be some out that I might like.
Cheese. Any and all cheese I have tried. It got to the point where I am now where I won’t even try any new cheese.
Tomatoes. This includes tomato sauce etc, which, with the above means I don’t like pizzas at all or pretty much any Italian food.
Coffee. Actually, I’m not really sure If I’m embarrassed about this.
Spicy things. This includes Chilli, mexican food, indian food, the whole lot.
People are trying to change my opinions, but we shall see
I don’t like red wine or beer (I can handle a few sips of beer but after that its gross)
Pizza I can leave or take… generally I prefer to make my own pizza cuz its better.
Little boys and rambunctious girls. I don’t mind kids too much but I prefer them before they can talk and when they reach teens or around there. Boys bug me more then girls probably because they love to be so rough (though girls can be too). So its interesting that I’m a leader since I don’t like kids too much.
Heavy Metal music… I love all sorts of music but this one drives me nuts the most. I can never understand what they are saying cuz they are yelling in those freaky voices. I prefer to be able to sing along with my music. I don’t listen to much country either though I only like one or two songs there.
Sports: I don’t like sports in general beyond football. (American, Canadian and Aussie rules none of this football/soccer stuff) Football is the only one that sparks any interest the rest just can go somewhere.
I don’t mind cats and dogs that much but I prefer to have birds, like parakeets or finches. Or fish. Those make ideal pets the rest I don’t like too much.
Hot sauce or ketchup. I prefer to taste my food and do not like to dump tons of that stuff on it. Some stuff I don’t mind a dash of hot stuff or ketchup on burgers or when I use it as a sauce base but the rest of the time I can leave it. I never use it on french fries anymore at all, I prefer Ranch dressing (if I get it at New York Fries) or just salt.
Hmmm…let’s see, I don’t like beer. It tastes like sweat socks. EVERYONE makes fun of me in my family, since everyone’s a beer drinker. They call me One Can Kathi because I puked once after chugging a LIGHT beer (just to get rid of it.) But it sucks.
I didn’t like A Christmas Story either.
Opera. Which is weird, because I LOVE Classical music and ballet. But I DON’T. LIKE. OPERA.
Speaking of classical, I don’t like Mozart. Blah blah blah.
Or Handel. BORING! C’mon!
Movies, well, not really. WATCHING movies, I mean. I think it relates to my ADHD. I can’t sit still like that for a long period of time without reading something. I love certain movies, but even my favorites I’ve only seen maybe five times total. The only thing I can watch over and over is MST3K.
sirjames, I do not like sex, but that is only because I have never experienced it. But saying that I would never enjoy it in the future would be lying!
Jazz music. It drives me insane! Friends Never watched it in my whole life. People seem appalled when I say this Parties. I’m not a big fan. Sure, I’ll go to parties, but I usually have to be dragged to them, and even then I usually end up falling asleep in some out of the way corner. Or maybe I’m just going to the wrong parties… Driving In all seriousness, I’m scared to death of driving. I had a permit when I was 16…drove a few times and never wanted to do it again. I hated it with the passion. People always laugh at me for not having a license as they drive off in their nice cars, which makes me feel rather young (even if they are much younger than me) and stupid.
Ugh…I thought I was the ONLY one who hated parties. I like DOING things, like reading and hanging out with just a few people at the mall or a bookstore or a museum or something like that. NOT just a party!
Charles Dickens suxxxxx. I realize his value, but the melodrama and the rampant sexism just pisses me off. Catch-22, however, I loved.
To all of you who hate rap: I know you’ve heard this a million times before, and now you’re going to have to hear it again. YOU HAVEN’T HEARD ENOUGH RAP AND YOU DON’T KNOW WHAT YOU’RE TALKING ABOUT. The same goes for all the folks who hate country music. You have rights to all opinioons but these. (I’m sorry, but this is my final word.) The stuff they play on the radio is not country. If I based my tastes on what they play on the radio, I would hate rock ‘n’ roll. And then how would I live?
As for me…what is so great about Robin Williams? He picks one shitty script after another and does the same thing all the time. It’s not that I don’t enjoy watching him. He is certailny a charming man. And as a comedian he is great. But all these people think he has his arms around this massive acting talent that I just don’t see.
And Jim Carrey. That guy annoys the living fuck out of me. But he probably likes it better that way.
And to whoever it was that put MTV in their list (I think it was Speaker for the Dead)…you get a great big Right The Fuck On. MTV deserves to die as slowly and as painfully as possible.
