Cousins: undecided
SIL’s mom: necklace and bracelet set
My oldest sister - I can’t say, in case she reads this (and because I don’t know).
Her boyfriend - I’ll probably give my sister money to get him a gift certificate to his favorite tattoo artist.
Her son - for some odd reason, the kid wants a bathrobe and slippers.
My other sister, her kid - no idea.
My mother - um… I might get her a gift certificate to get her acrylic nails put back on. She had to remove them after over 2 years because she’s having surgery in a couple days.
Step-dad - iTunes gift card and PetCo gift card - that man loves iTunes and he wants to start a small fish tank.
Boyfriend - not a clue. Maybe a bunch of MST3k, maybe something for the Jeep.
For me - I want a new computer. Anyone want to give me one? My boyfriend is giving me dental insurance. He’s such a sweetie. (I can get insurance from Jan. through the beginning of the next school year - for $215 from my school).
I have 2 cats and my partner has 2 dogs. This year we’ve both agreed to buy just one gift . . . for each other’s pets. I’m thinking of maybe a doggie bed or an automatic food/water system. And I think the kittehs would enjoy a water fountain.
My camera has finally gotten stuck in “flash every time” mode (it had been threatening it for over a year); I bought a new one and if I happen to be home for the Epiphany it will be put in the pile of “presents for Nava”.
I can’t really think of anything, wanted to make sure the new camera fulfilled a certain set of conditions and may not know whether I’ll be home for the Epiphany until the last week of December, that’s why I went ahead and bought it. I expect the Bros will add some gummy bears or some such.
The Kidlet is getting Playmobil’s Pirate Ship, which is just awesome and has been in the guest room’s closet at Mom’s since October (the first version was awesome decades ago too, when now-Proud-Daddy and now-Uncle got it). As for the rest, I’ll know what is it they’re getting when they give me their wishes lists.
Every year I take all of my coins to the Coinstar machine and get back an Amazon gift certificate, and buy myself something for Christmas. This is the extent of my Christmas gifting.
It really looks like I have a bounty in coins this year so I might spring for a digital camera!
We’ve had a house for sale that is now under contract to close on December 9… assuming that that sale goes through, I don’t want anything else for Christmas.
But I do have an Amazon wishlist.
My dad is getting his usual bottle of single malt and an interesting gadget from American Science & Surplus.
Mom is getting some books she wants and some vintage Christmas light reflectors I found on eBay… she inherited a few from her parents and really loves them.
Husband is getting shirts, books, cologne, two or three of his very own measuring tapes (so he stops borrowing mine), handknit socks and hat, and one of those fruit picking baskets you put on the end of a broomhandle.
Niece and nephew… I just don’t know. If my husband (who is their blood relation) doesn’t have any other ideas, I think I’ll get them Hexbug Crabs. Because they’re so stinkin’ cute.
Households to which we are related but who we won’t be with on the holiday are getting boxes of Christmas crackers… we had them for favors at our wedding, so everybody knows what they are, and they must surely make Christmas dinner more entertaining for the kids.
