What are you going to do with your extra hour?

I thought I d lose an hour instead of get one… I always mix that up… so I got up at 9AM assuming it was already 10, and was all upset when I realized it was only 8 AM.

Life isn fair sometimes :frowning:
If I was in England already I d not have to worry about shit like that.

I ll spend my extra hour in this forum

I was at work. Yipee.

Whatever I was going to do with it I’ve apparently already done, as it’s now time to go to work.

dammit dammit dammit.

So, I get up at 5:40 (have to get son up by 6 in order to get him to work by 7), I’m showered, dressed etc. He goes to take his shower, goes back to his room, then comes out again “uh, mom, I don’t have to be there til 9”…

dammit dammit dammit.

I’m up by 5:30 every work day, and both days this weekend and he tells me THEN “oops”???

In the true adacious nature of a 16year old, he then also wanted me to let him drive to work (he’s got a permit) Not bloody likely!

Does anybody know what time it is…does anybody really care

I got up at the regular time, and the other two people in the house slept blissfully on, so I gained a whole quiet hour to myself.

I had really bad insomnia last night, so I spent the extra hour trying to sleep. :frowning:

I’m going to be on-line killing time waiting for my Sunday paper to arrive.

It’s not here yet. I suspect the carrier or the presses or somebody is still on Daylight Savings Time.

Watch Lola…

I don’t get an hour either. But I used to save them so I could use it in the spring.

I woke up this morning at 7 am (according to my clock), dragged my carcass out of bed since I had to be at the theatre at 8 am to help set up the next show. Ran about panicking (since it’s a 30 minute drive and I still had morning ablutions and other stuff to do). I started the computer to check e-mail, and the first message box reminded me that it had automatically adjusted for DST and the time was actually 6:08 am.

Huh?

<bing!>
Duh.

Hoorah, but I hate when the computer is smarter than I am. It ‘remembered’, I didn’t.
At least I didn’t show up earlier than everyone else.
But I’m home now and enjoying that ‘extra hour’.

Lucky you, screech-owl. I was so humiliated this morning. I got up at 9, thinking it was 10, because of my stupid, worthless, goat-felching, belongs-at-the bottom-of-the-Indian-ocean motherboard. It shorted out last night, after the computer had reset itself, so when it rebooted, it reset itself again. A friend of mine, for whom I’d promised to record something this morning (he doesn’t have cable), called me at what to me was 10:25, but was in fact 11:25, while his show started at 11:30. He didn’t come right out and ask “Are you taping my show?”; he just gave all kinds of subtle, gentlemanly hints, until finally I said, “I know, it starts in an hour.” How humiliating. I hate to make classic mistakes like that, or to look like I did. My real mistake was putting too much faith in my computer.
