Nine Pound Hammer. Probably first heard it in the late 1950’s.
Say, did you get/do you still have the “Super All-Action Official Music Programme For Boys and Girls” that they sold on that tour?
It was a 16-page comic-book-type thing that had stories featuring each member: “Rog the Rover”, “Captain Mason, R.N”, “Rich Right (…he’s rich and he’s right!)”, and “The Exploits of Dave Derring”, along with lyrics, a quiz, and a centerpiece by Gerald Scarfe.
It cost 25 cents back in the day…I wonder how much it’s worth now?
Yep, still got it!
I’m listening to the Original Soundtrack of Fiddler on the Roof. I cannot say when I first heard it, because it was one of my mother’s favorite albums, and heard it regularly while growing up.
“7/4(Shoreline)” by Broken Social Scene. It’s not bad, but “Time=Cause” is a better song.
I heard it for the first time a few weeks ago when listening to new songs in my song folder from either WOXY or Alternative Adiction, which are streaming audio radio stations. Next up “Our Motto” by Dear Leader…
Right now I am listening to a 25-year-old cassette tape of “Remember The Future” by Nektar.
My roommate my sophomore year in college had the album and I taped it off him.
I’m Blue by the Ikettes – this might be the first time I’ve heard it.
It’s in volume 5 of the 1947-1974 Atlantic Rhythm and Blues collection that I got for Christmas.
And yeah, I’m sittin’ and swayin’ and groovin’.
