What are you listening to right now?

We haven’t had one of these threads in a while…

What are you listening to right now? Could be music, but if you’re listening to something other than music, by all means share it!

Me:
The Chemical Brothers, Dig Your Own Hole
(I’m cleaning my room, so I need motivational music.)

Sandra Collins - Tranceport 3

The Simpsons.

Before that came on, my collection of songs from the show Homicide.

I’m “listening” to people behind me talk about a bunch of stupid stuff. I’d call it hearing more than listening, cause I’m trying to block it out. Is there a nice way to tell someone to shut up and do some work without sounding like a prick?

“Rest Stop”, by Matchbox Twenty.

pixel… a demo mix tape from him… He just moved out here from St. Louis and dropped it off at my bar. It’s pretty good.

Triple J FM radio, waiting for Merrick and Rosso to start. Though that won’t be for another two and a half hours yet. (That is, if they’re back from their holiday break yet)

Foster and Lloyd, “The Essential Foster and Lloyd”

A mediocre British '60’s musical called “Come Spy With Me”. Specifically the last track on side 1 “Assassinating Rhythm”. It’s actually better than the name implies, but then…it would kind of have to be. I got a stand-alone CD burner (connects to your stereo, doesn’t need a computer) for Hannukah and I’m backing up a bunch of out of print albums.

Fenris

“Born to Raise Hell” – by Motorhead w/Ice T

Just downloaded this from Motorhead official site. Awesome tune. Next up is Hawkwind “Bring Me The Head of Yuri Gagarin Live 1973”, which has an incredible track called “Silver Machine”.

Rock on!!

“Mommy, Can I go out and kill tonight?” by The Misfits

POWERHOUSE TRUMPET, with Conte Condoli on the title instrument, plus Bill Holman on tenor sax, Lou Levy on piano, Leroy Vinnegar on bass, and Lawrence Marable on drums.

Recorded in L.A. in 1956. Slammin’ example of West Coast jazz at its LEAST laid-back.

“Clean the Machine,” by Final Cut. Next up, the Lemonheads’ “Ride With Me.” On a mix tape I made back in 1993 that is still one of my favorites, because it reminds me of high school.

I’m listening to Honey by Moby.

Track #3 of the peach of a CD I just burnt.

The voices in my head…no, Lord Oestrapolous! Anything but that! My knees! In the name of all things sacred, MY KNEES! I don’t speak Japanese you fruit!

Fat Free Radio - 64k signal (hi-fi)

you can get it at:

PUNK SNOT DEAD,
broccoli!

Glenn Danzig - Black Aria. Its not what you would expect from him.

Raging tinnitus. I know it all by heart.

Soul Coughing - Live at the Irving Plaza, New York.

Before that, 16 Horsepower - Secret South

It’s quiet time right now. Tonight at work though I listened to…

NOFX - Pump up the Valuum

NOFX - The Decline

The Vandals - Hitler bad, Vandals good

The Specials - Too much too young

and…

Flogging Molly - Swagger (Someone gave this CD to me after seeing these guys at warped tour and they are AWESOME. It’s kinda like Irish folk music with a modern twist on it, check it out)
