I always thought Gollum was brilliant. Cutting edge CGI with the motion capture and voice of Andy Serkis. The whole dual personality thing.
And it all could have went so wrong. It could have been Jar-Jar Smeagol.
My top five (in keeping with the plethora of other threads):
Robbie the Robot
Godzilla
Groot
The Iron Giant
Wall-E
Q
Scratch
Roger from American Dad
KITT
H.E.L.P.E.R.
The monkey in Buster Keaton’s The Cameraman.
The entire stable of Sci-Fys creations from Sharktopus to the giant alligators and snakes.
The gopher from Caddyshak

Gollum
HAL 9000
Clyde the Orangutan
Dear ghod, I never thought of that. But you’re so right.
Hi, ho. Kermit the Frog here,…
I love Crystal the monkey. I have met a few domesticated monkeys, and mostly I don’t like monkeys. But Crystal seems uniquely entertaining and interesting. I’d like to have lunch with her, if she wouldn’t throw poo at me.
Pretty much all the non-humans in Shrek, especially Puss in Boots.
Gru
Pepe LePew
Arnold Ziffle
Godzilla, the biggest movie star ever.
People complained about his temper, and the folks he stepped on in his rise to fame, but he’s been in over thirty films!
Gamera
Marc Anthony (from the Looney Toons with PussyFoot)
Another vote for Gollum.
The dinosaurs from the original Jurassic Park.
Trigger.
Lassie.
Goliath, the Friesian from Lady Hawke.
Bart the bear
King Kong.
King Kong. The real one from 1933.
Godzilla
Itchy. Not Scratchy though.
Mr. Teeny
Gill Man, the Creature from the Black Lagoon
