@Mean_Mr.Mustard If it’s not too much trouble, once we get through the Z’s (no psi this time!), could you compile all the final polls into a single thread – maybe one post for each letter? No need for links to videos. Thanks! That makes 260 songs – of which I will have already been familiar with maybe 30% at most.

I have a vague intention to create a Spotify list of all the songs (which will inevitably be HUGE) and to share a link. But that will still be after-the-fact discovery.

No need, I have a Spotify list in progress. It already has 683 tunes on it through the letter G. I will share it when completed.

Also, I am putting the finishing touches on a Spotify playlist of the previous music poll (not just the year 2000 onward). This one has about 3,500 songs, from “Abba Zabba” to “Zoot Suit Riot”.

I think I’m going to wait until Neil Young is again available on Spotify (any day now, it seems) so I can add his 19 entries.

On the other hand, several of the artists I have been exploring were prompts from these “favorite songs that begin with the letter -” threads. Taylor Swift, for example (a revelation); and Smashing Pumpkins (uh, hated them).

You win some, you lose some, eh? And you can’t cover everything. So much music, so little time…
