He’s sensible, and only talks when he knows what he’s talking about - unlike me. You’ll find him in threads about Asian languages, the military and building widgets out of thingamabobs.
… I mean, the ones dealing with the differences in the sexes, men being confused about women, women confused about men, etc. Okay, I also like the ones about copulation as well.
I also like the threads about shows I like. I’m almost addicted to the SYTYCD thread.
I’ve been mostly a GDer during my eleven years in this loony bin. I’ve always been the sort to debate politics, religion, and whatnot until the cows come home.
But just during the past several months, I just haven’t seen much in the way of debate threads that interested me. Don’t know what it is. Can’t be the Firebug - when I finally had time again to post to the Dope after the adoption hiatus, I was about as active in GD as you’d expect, given the reduced time I had available. But maybe after a decade of debating on the Dope, I’ve had my fill at last. Who knows?
“distant relatives, in that we share the same mother and the same father.”
Great phrase! I know exactly what you mean - or at least, I know exactly what I’m assuming you mean.
My older sister and I are only eleven months apart, grew up in the same house with (of course) the same parents, and care about each other very much - yet we can barely talk for five minutes without managing to misunderstand one another entirely.
Forgot to mention–the creepy threads. Things like very vaguely creepy (one of the reasons I joined, actually), or even the ghost story threads. I don’t actually believe in ghosts myself, but a good ghost story thread is fun to read. I also like the threads where people mention other stories, like that Dionaea House or the tales at Creepypasta.
