This is not a song title, just an observation.
Getting a fair bit of airplay over the last few weeks is Aleks and the Ramps’ “Middle Aged Unicorn on Beach at Sunset”. Not a bad song, actually.
Going with songs that received popular acclaim and/or significant (not necessarily Top 40) airplay:
“Me and Jesus the Pimp in a 79 Granada Last Night” - The Coup
“The Negotiation Limerick File” - Beastie Boys
“Prime Audio Soup” - Meat Beat Manifesto
“The Gentle Art of Making Enemies” - Faith No More
“Jesus Built My Hotrod” - Ministry
“My Brain Is Hanging Upside Down (Bonzo Goes to Bitburg)” - Ramones
If I were to dig a little more historically, I could nominate the titles of much of This is Serious, Mum’s back catalogue, but I might suggest:
“The Ballad of John Bonham’s Coke Roadie”
“Martin Scorcese Is Really Quite a Jovial Fellow”
“Mr Ches Baragwanath, State Auditor-General”
“Pus Pus Pus Amway Amway Amway”
“All Homeboys Are Dickheads” and
“Greg! The Stop Sign!!”
I’ll also name the Beards’ “If Your Dad Doesn’t Have a Beard, You’ve Got Two Mums (Two Beardless Mums)” - which, admittedly, is both descriptive of the song and the entirety of the chorus - and Darren Hanlon for both “Yes, There Is a Slight Chance He Might Actually Fail” and “(There’s Not Enough Songs About) Squash”.
I rather liked The Ecstasy of Dancing Fleas (Penguin Cafe Orchestra)
Bal-Sagoth produces some doozies:
“And Lo, When the Imperium Marches Against Gul-Kothoth, Then Dark Sorceries Shall Enshroud the Citadel of the Obsidian Crown”
“As the Vortex Illumines the Crystalline Walls of Kor-Avul-Thaa”
“In the Raven-Haunted Forests of Darkenhold, Where Shadows Reign and the Hues of Sunlight Never Dance”
“The Dark Liege of Chaos is Unleashed at the Ensorcelled Shrine of A’Zura Kai (The Splendour of a Thousand Swords Gleaming Beneath the Blazon of the Hyperborean Empire Part II)”
“Cry Havoc for Glory, and the Annihilation of the Titans of Chaos (The Splendour of a Thousand Swords Gleaming Beneath the Blazon of the Hyperborean Empire: Part III)”
“Blood Slakes the Sand at the Circus Maximus”
“Behold, the Armies of War Descend Screaming from the Heavens!”
“The Dreamer in the Catacombs of Ur”
“Star-Maps of the Ancient Cosmographers”
“Six Score and Ten Oblations To a Malefic Avatar”
All I have to say is, I wish I knew these guys’ drug dealer.
“Take the Skinheads Bowling” by Camper Van Beethoven
Some more by Captain Beefheart:
“Making Love to a Vampire with a Monkey on My Knee”
“A Carrot Is As Close as a Rabbit Gets to a Diamond”
“Hey Garland, I Dig Your Tweed Coat”
“The Thousandth and Tenth Day of the Human Totem Pole”
“Semi-Multicoloured Caucasian”
“When I See Mommy I Feel Like A Mummy”
We’re not seeing a lot of country & western here (or its UK equivalent, scrumpy & western).
In the latter category:
“I’ve Got a Brand New Combine Harvester”, The Wurzels
In the former:
“You’re the Reason Our Kids Are Ugly” – I think this was Loretta Lynn and Conway Twitty
Almost anything by Kinky Friedman and the Texas Jewboys.
