I’m sorry, I don’t have a top 5. But because of reasons (studying Al Brooks’ odd C.V.) hubby and I just rewatched “Defending Your Life,” and I thought she did justice to a genteel role in a sweet, subtly satirical film. So that’s my only nomination.
Actually, we ended up talking more about something uncharacteristic for us–she is like the Dick Clark of B-movies. Seriously, she looked about as old in high schoolas she did in that film. In a good way, though.
If I have some movie time this week, and I probably will (though we’re planning on a Paul Muni fest) I’ll try to watch some more of her oeuvre and weigh in again.
Uncommon Women…And Others, (which is really a tv production of a play, not a movie, but I count it because I think it’s the best thing she’s ever done.)
