What Are Your Worst Message Board Habits?

Not completi

Stealing others’ jok

Me too! One thread I remember in particular, I didn’t go back to for a week, then I was like, “Oh, that wasn’t too bad.”

I’m getting better.

I search through each board and open up several threads from each then read them and reply to the interesting ones. I assume this results in a lot of “CLAYTON_e” on the top thread things.

Yeah, this is me.

Harimad-sol, you’re so entertaining we don’t mind if you come in just to say me, too.

My biggest flaws would have to be failing to obey Neal Stephenson’s famous advice about arguing with anonymous strangers on the internet, failing to preview, and not checking to ensure that I’m not making a duplicate thread.

Posting a quick blurb response to something that references some movie or TV show with a connection to the thread that only I get and only I find funny. For instance, my first impulse was to respond to this thread with a stretched Family Guy paraphrase, but it woulda been such a convoluted connection that nobody else woulda gotten it.

I guess I’m just an indulgent little shit.

(Responding with a second-line self-denigrating comment is also a pretty big habit, as is the third-line in-parenthesis addendum. Sigh.)

Thank you, my dear.

I also use too many smilies, and I flirt a lot.

Killing Threads, apparently. :smack:

And not coming up with a new sig line.

But, tpayne, your sig line is so cool.

Not checking my spelling, as everyone can confirm.

Including irrelevant introspective rambling in every post longer than two sentences. Some might also say I talk about Tears For Fears too much, but that is clearly a scientific impossibility, so I refuse to acknowledge such accusations.

The same rule of scientific impossibility applies to Ozzy and Black Sabbath. And the Ramones. Why other people don’t understand these simple rules is beyond me.

I also have a habit of teasing posters that I really like and maybe crush on just a wee tiny bit. What am I, a third grader?

Also, overuse of that guy up there ^^, but usually only in reference to myself.
