You have never shown anything to counter that the Nuer allow, accept, and condone female-female marriage. Nothing. All you have done is state that it isn’t marriage, but it clearly is, both culturally and legally in that society.

So your contention that “it makes it less of a change to accommodate three people than it does two people of the same sex” is specious? If you’re going to argue slippery-slope, at least admit your error when it’s pointed out that the slope isn’t all that slippery.
