What brand of cigarettes is easiest on the thoat?

Have you considered good quality cigars or a pipe- with the smoother varities of tobacco?

I smoke Merit Ultra Lights. Take some getting used to, but definitely easy on the throat. My boyfriend swears they stink worse than Marlboros or other strong brands, but what th’ hell does he know; he’s a nonsmoker.

DMark, Is the Drum you get made by D.E. or Republic Tobacco? The best I can get nowadays is Bali Shag, which is almost as good as I remember DRUM being.

It is Republic, and at first after the sale, it truly was horrible, but I think they caught on how bad it was as now the “new stuff” is about 95% as good as the original. Give it another try sometime.

I have, recently given Republic’s DRUM another try. It’s better than it first was, but still pretty bleah. Have you tried Bali Shag? Much closer to what DRUM used to be, when made by Douwe Egberts, I feel. I’ll buy Jester or Sampson before smoking DRUM on purpose, again.

The way the dollar is going, 65Kc will probably be about $5 the next time I’m there.
