What can I expect from Match.com?

I’ve tried it but never gotten anything worth making me want to join.

Last summer I joined e-harmony hoping it would be better. I got a dozen matches, but only one of those resulted in e-mail contact(And after two e-mails, the girl stopped responding for no reason at all). I let my subscription lapse at the end of three months and quit.

I had been againest paying for dating sites before and broke with convention just this once. Now I can see that my earlier reluctence to pay was justified. There’s just no point in paying for no results when I can get the same thing in real life for free.

I’m really enjoying meeting new people. In fact, my first date (who I ended up going out with twice) and I acknowledged that there wasn’t a romantic spark, but we’d like to be friends anyway.

Not that there’s a lack of romantic spark, mind you. I just met somebody really cool and can’t wait to go out with her again.
