I think you are now going to have either substantial price increases and/or big delays:
And now:
Well, guess what?
It’s no great loss.
God I hope their ads stop soon.
Where more folks will be troubled is empty shelves in the Dollar stores.
(I did recieve a notification I have a delivery from Amazon Haul. The read out on the tracking shows exactly the customs things it went thru from China.)
When shipping froze up after Covid, some things on EBay would give the source of the product. Things sourced from China took forever, things sourced in the US (originally from China, no doubt, but in stateside warehouses) had much better delivery times.
This is worse.
?? I’ve bought from them several times and haven’t seen any ads. Do you use an ad blocker?
I suspect Beck isn’t referring to that sort of ad.
I bought a toy from TEMU a month or so ago; it’s a birthday present for late next month so I’ve opened the package.* Ever since then, I’ve been inundated with “BUY MORE STUFF” emails.
I hope it’s what I ordered; if not, it was only a few bucks.
I think I clicked “unsubscribe” the first time I got one. Haven’t received another.
I think I did, eventually. That address isn’t used for much other than here and Wikipedia, so not checked often.
The constant Temu ads on my game apps and on TikTok seemed to have disappeared. So that’s the one good thing that Trump has done.
Yes
I mean you’d think I was their secret lover the amount of texts and emails I get.
I’m at least their BFF.
And I accidently got on their radar.
I looked at their front page and nearly had seizures. Good god. The moving parts are insane.
The Lil’wrekker orders occasionally. She likes the hair and make up things.
I have a game(forge of empires, unpaid version)I play with rewards if you watch an ad.
The ads are either KFC, Temu or some supplement company.
I’ve got a sneaky suspicion the purpose of temu was for the chinese government to collect a lot of american’s credit card info.
Maybe I’m a closet conspiracy theorist. ![]()
No need, they already had all that from data breaches from Target, Home Depot and the like.
I wouldn’t buy cheap tat anyway, and they don’t help themselves by having the most annoyingly sticky-to-damn-near-inescapable ads in a phone app I otherwise like.
This is one reason why I don’t install the app. That, plus I may order only once a year, if that.
I won’t install the App.
I’ve ordered from them I think only once so far, but on my PC.
Has anyone ordered T’shirts from them? Are they crappy or decent quality?
The “Mordor Fun Run” shirt appeals to me.
I bought something from temu once. It was fine, and i haven’t heard from them since. Yeah, i probably had to unsubscribe to something at some point.
No. I’ve been tempted by the cool designs, but almost 100% of the clothes they sell are made of polyester. I ordered a skirt from them, which I wear for dancing and get lots of compliments on - it’s very thin fabric, but looks great because it’s floaty. I wouldn’t even contemplate a polyester t-shirt.
Always read the description closely to avoid unpleasant surprises - worst scam to look out for is what appears to be knitwear, but is actually just a design printed on a shirt. Also check the size chart; sometimes they use Chinese sizes, which are tiny. I was going to order my skirt in M until I looked at the chart and rather doubtfully picked XL, and it’s still a bit tight!
You’re not going to get real quality stuff on Temu, and it’s hit and miss, but I’ve managed to get some very cool things that I’d struggle to find elsewhere, or would have cost twice as much for an identical product. Overall I’m pleased with my purchases.
I’ve spent a fair bit on TEMU - especially for motorcycle bits and computer stuff but the minimum for free shipping is annoying. ( the stuff is so cheap )
I’ve done returns and ended with the product free
I’ve bought name brand bits that were 30% of the price on Amazon for the exact same product.
Refund issued by Temu (no need to return). It needs to be processed by your financial institution
We’ve issued your refund for 1 item that you have requested to return. There’s no need to return the item(s), so no return label will be provided.
Lately tho I’ve been happier with Alie
https://www.aliexpress.com/
and my last order got me into some sort of loyalty program and it all shipped free …no charge for the goods or shipping.
That’s another version of Alibaba, BTW. The Wikipedia article compares Express to eBay.
And isn’t “Alie” an incorrect shortening of AliExpress?
