What car did I just see?

So, I’m on my cool electric scooter and driving back to my apartment in Beijing. I saw a nice looking black SUV with what looked like “Zady Damye” on the back where the make of the vehicle would usually be and “Damye” on the front where the make of the vehicle would be. Both the front and back logos were in a cursive font. I can’t find anything doing a Google search, so I’m hoping someone among the TM recognizes it. Oh, I did consider that it might be cursive Cyrillic script (thus, a Russian make) but that doesn’t seem to pan out.

So, anyone know?

You can browse this website and see if you recognize the logo:
https://listcarbrands.com/car-brands/

It’s a nice page, that link. Be aware though, it is only showing current logos.

What do you know, just yesterday I saw another model of the same make. This town’s messing with me.

There is no logo on these vehicles unless you count the cursive word as its logo. I tried the link @DcnDC provided, but no luck there.

Next time you see one, accost the driver.

The first time, I followed the dude, but couldn’t get close enough to ask him anything. After all, I was on an electric scooter, and he was in the cool motor vehicle. I was worried that he might’ve thought I was going to accost him!

Oh well, let us know if you ever catch him !

If you could get the car’s registration plate number, could you look it up
on the world wide internet ?
It works in the UK.
Many sites (eg, car part sales) will allow you to enter you car’s reg’ number
and it’ll tell you what make & model of your car is (and therefore what parts you need)

And now I know! Yesterday, on the way to Tongzhou to shop at the local South Korean supermarket, I saw one of these cars parked on the side of the road in a turn-out. I got a photo and tried two different searches now that I have the correct name. The search brought up this vehicle (the link is to the Wiki page).
