What celeb do people say you look like?

I used to be a dead ringer for Henry Rollins. I was stopped many times by people who thought I was him. My voice is similar to his, too, though most people were convinced when I showed them that my arms aren’t covered in tattoos. It stopped when I started cutting my hair really short (an 1/8th of an inch short).

Without the goatee, Sean Penn and sometimes Paul Benedict.

With the goatee, Shaggy from Scooby Doo!

Shaggy like, rocks, man!

In the seventies someone told me I looked like Stella Stevens.

I googled a young picture of her and can see a resemblance. But not enough to fuss about. She must have had some plastic surgery at some point because her current photos bear no resemblance at all.

Apparently I resemble a lot of people - one woman even stopped me on my way to lunch one day because she thought I was her fiance - but no celebrities.

I used to work with a woman whose son bore a strong resemblance to Howard Stern. Last time I saw him, the guy had got a haircut and didn’t look like Howeird anymore.

People have said that with my bandana on and lighting from above, I look like a young Axl Rose.
I’m female though so it’s gotta be compared to a clean-shaven picture. It’s not that close a resemblance - I have bigger eyes and fuller cheeks, but it’s serviceable enough. Yes, my gender is confusing to some strangers.

I’ve taken some pictures where I look like Bill Gates.

Oddly enough, I don’t look like him. I just photograph badly.

Julianne Moore. I can actually see it, but it’s really only pronounced when my hair is red, which is not now. But we have a similar face shape, nose and the freckles.

Just confused the hell out of my 18 month old, who saw all the pictures I was googling of Julianne and started pointing at them and saying Mummy. My 3 yr old agrees, so 2 out of 2 children is a clear data point!

I’m not falling for that trick.

Pre-rhinoplasty: Sarah Jessica Parker. ALL THE TIME. It drove me nuts (but that’s not why I had a nose job). Post: Diane Lane & Melissa Gilbert (half pint).

When I was very thin, Ray Liotta.

Now, maybe Greg Grunberg? (If I’m Very lucky…)

(Although there were a couple people for a while who though I looked an awful lot like an older Harry Potter.)

… ohhhhh

Sadly, I’ve been told I look like Balky from Perfect Strangers

In my younger and thinner days I was once told I look like John Lennon.

By Mark Chapman.

Billy Corgan of Smashing Pumpkins
Bruce Willis
Kurtwood Smith from That 70s Show
Isaac Slade from the Fray

Probably sensing a trend there?

Billy Corgan, but older and less brooding is probably the best match, but I’ll never actually be mistaken for any of those guys.

People keep saying that they know somebody who looks like me, but I finally found one who, I have to agree, I resemble.

Paul Szep, onetime editorial cartoonist for the Biston Globe. He was the subject of one of those “Dewar’s Profiles” ads, and somebody cut it out, taking care also to remove the name, and stuck it on my laboratory door when I was in grad school. People were asking me for weeks how I got a whiskey ad about me.

Years later, my wife mistook him for me as we walked around Boston’s First Night celebration. He was wearing the same winter coat as me.
Here’s his picture. His hair’s a little wilder, and he’s more Jay Leno-ish in his chin, but, damn, he looks similar to me:

Could be worse; could’ve been Kurtwood Smith from Star Trek IV.

Okay, I’ll link to my pic. Who do you think I look like (if anyone)? Link.

Not a response to above, but some people tell me I look like Lisa Kudrow.

Nowadays, I get told I look like Rainn Wilson.

I don’t know, but you were super-hot in '92!
