What celebrities do you look like?

I am not a particularly attractive person, but there seems to be something about me that drives strangers to stop me in the street to say I look like random celebrities. I think if I were one of the super friends, this would be my special power. Among the most flattering:

Tom Cruise
William Baldwin
John Travolta
Beau Bridges
Andy Garcia
David Duchovney

Among the least flattering:
David Schwimmer
Prince Charles (eek!)

The sad truth:
David Schwimmer. I had to grow a beard when he became famous.

I totally disagree with them, but there are some people who think I look like Charlize Theron. It was so weird when I arrived at OhDope and Superdude, within a half hour of meeting me, told me he thought I looked like her. Well, anyway, I am very flattered by the thought, but there is no way in hell. She is rock solid, and I am a mere mortal. Besides, I wish someone would tell me that I look like Ashley Judd, but I’d have to dye my hair brown, shrink in various ways, and basically not look like me at all.

Amen to that. I was afraid for a second that she had left out a comma.

Myself? Aqualung. More and more all the time. I’m not sure if this is a good thing…

Once upon a time, long long ago, I’ve been told that I look like:

Diane Sawyer or
Kim Basinger (do her hands look abnormally large? I’ve always thought mine were a bit big…)

 Maybe they were referring to her hands.
I know I sound like that society dame that fed straight lines to the Marx Brothers.

a few weeks ago I went to a wedding where I knew almost nobody. I had only met the bride and groom once. I was described as looking like “Frasier” on TV.

Brachy, from your picture, you definitely resemble Kim Basinger. Same eyes, I think (although it’s a bit hard to tell). Definitely a compliment!

I had to do a little research. The only person I knew out of Charisma Carpenter, Keanu Reeves and Ann Curry was Keanu, and I can see a little resemblence around the eyes.

As for Charisma, we both have very big smiles. She’s definitely “cute,” and I get that a lot too, so we have that in common.

And just for the recors, I totally look like this naked.

Ann Curry? Yeah, I kind of look like her. I’m not Korean (she is Korean, right?). Maybe if Ann Curry and Charisma Carpenter had a love child…

Oh goodness! None of those links work! Well, rest assured Ann Curry + Charisma = Nacho4Sara.

When I was younger, I was often compared to Molly Ringwald. I can’t tolerate her, so I wasn’t exactly thrilled by the comparison.

Since I’ve gotten older, I’ve had several people tell me I look like Suzanne Somers, but I really can’t see it at all. I don’t mind THAT comparison, though!

Bailey from Part of Five. I’ve had several people say this and I wish it weren’t so. I’m sure most people would consider him to be better looking than me but he looks too wholesome and I get sick of people thinking I look like a mama’s boy. I’ve had several people say this too.

I have been told I look like “the blonde guy” from each of those friggin’ boy bands like N sync, Backstreet boys, 98^, and I think there may have been another one. I apologetically do not know there names, but am told this on a regular basis. I wish boy bands would go away.

I’m half Korean and I always hear:

  1. Meg Tilly
  2. Ann Curry

I think, if I remember correctly, that Ann Curry is Japanese, not Korean.

Tibs.

Huh? I didn’t post a pic of me, that was RLC (I wish it was me though…)

Around 2 years ago, people kept on comparing me to Jarvis Cocker, the singer of a british band named “Pulp”.

My girlfriend often hears “Alanis Morisette” (shiver), although I think she´s definetly more a Patricia Arquette or Fiona Apple lookalike.

I get “Sean Connery” a lot. Not sure if that’s particularly flattering seeing as he is about 20 years older than I am. Hate to imagine what I’ll look like when I get to be his age.

I’m the more hair-challenged of these two: Red and son

Helen Mirren, apparently. A young Helen Mirren of course.

I’ve also heard Suzanne Vega and Clare Danes several times, and Liz Phair once or twice. But Helen’s by far the most common. That’s not a bad thing, I don’t think.
