What "Conservative Values" aren't based on bigotry?

Did I flinch when I said that that was a caricature? (IOW, your idea that I did agree with attacks like the one you describe is a straw man)

Again, I’m not joking when I do say that the current leadership has decided to embrace what was supposed to be a caricature. There is plenty of evidence now and Republicans now just ignore what the bigot in chief is actually doing now.

So is there something inconsistent about the way that I have characterized Trump?

Not much, except for the insignificant, inconsequential fact that you would in the end support him to do more of the same in the future. /s

It is clear that Trump is even lying about the denouncing that he did later for his ugly remarks about Chancellorsville. So, he is again terrible and more in league with the bigots and incompetents.

I don’t think he is a bigot, or racist.

I also said I am not voting for his character, or rather lack thereof. I’m voting for him because the actual policy that gets implemented seems pretty mainstream Republican, and I am ok with that.

I also said that all the Democrats needed to do to get my vote (and probably win the election). Is to not be absolutely batshit crazy.

Trump won and barely one because he went up against the worst candidate to run for President in my lifetime. All the Democrats needed to do was present something halfway moderately mainstream. Instead they have gone completely off the rails. The insane radical leftist bullshit is not going to get my vote, or much of anyone’s, I predict.

Besides showing that you ignore what Woodward said (after claiming that he should be read, what a surprise) you are just reaching again for ignorance.

As I remember a comment from the internet, when an article reported about how a store clerk was fired for telling a Hispanic family to “go back where you came from”, we in the US have better standards for clerks rather than our president.

More ignorance, you should not be ok with that.
When it comes to trade nothing happens in isolation and then there are downstream effects to those tariffs, not too far from where that [Aluminum and steel] guy works there is a nail factory which suffered because thanks to Trump steel tariffs the price of their raw material steel skyrocketed. Sales dropped in half and they've laid off over a hundred workers and those that remain are worried
More seriously, the way Trump got an economic advisor as Navarro is just one example among many that shows how incompetent is Trump regarding policy.

https://www.bloomberg.com/opinion/articles/2018-03-02/what-trump-s-trade-guru-peter-navarro-doesn-t-get-about-economics

And the evidence is that… no they are not batshit crazy, the current Republicans in power are.

The problem is to ignore that a lot of mainstream positions are being called radical nowadays by the sources you rely on.

Theirs is a nice racket.

Yeah GIGO, I get it. You are going to list everything that you think is bad about Trump or things he did. I get it, I’ve seen it. It does not change my mind.

Radical leftism, the rise of Socialism is an existential threat. I’m going to vote against it.

Put an odious personally reprehensible piece of shit centrist in against Trump, and I Would probably go the other way.

I will tell you something that you may find surprising. I am not super concerned about bigotry, white nationalism, neo-nazis. The state of race relations is worse than it was just a decade ago, and I blame intersectionalism.

I read an interesting study a couple of months ago. I don’t remember it’s name or it’s author I’m afraid, but it was a study trying to look at whether or not diversity was a strength. The answer was interesting. It said that diversity is correlated with a rise in tv watching and in complaints. The time diversity was correlated with a stronger more effective organization was when that organization was bound together by a common set of values.

In our culture, the classic liberal and conservative values that bound us were

  1. A belief in free speech
  2. The sovereignty of the individual
  3. Equality of opportunity
  4. Equality of man
  5. The American dream (if you worked hard you had the chance to build something
  6. Freedom of religious expression.
The left now seems to be at odds with all of these. Liberalism is dead, it’s a bunch of neo Marxist nihilists more concerned about who gets to use what bathroom.

I’m their enemy.

And full stop, because you seem to be under the impression that I post just for you, nope, there are others that do understand or are learning how crazy it is to have staffers quitting or fired just because they do realize that on many fronts (and not just regarding bigotry) Trump is an incompetent on policies, not just a bigot or a liar and have people not stopping to realize that Trump has let go many of the grownups. What is next are even worse ways to get what you think are “good” policies.

As for the rest of your pap, it is just that and with no good evidence; the only “evidence” from you, as noted many times before, is coming from the poisoned sources you rely on.

I’ve encountered this before; the vast audience delusion. Carry on.

Missed on edit:

The main point that stands, regardless of your attempts at poisoning the discussion, democratic socialists are different from dumb command economy socialists, letting others depend on your ignorance is not a very convincing argument.

BTW, I do not see myself even as a democratic socialist, I’m just more of a moderate Democrat that has been turned by the conservative media you rely on into being a radical, in the most stupid ways possible.

What I do favor are things that virtually all other developed capitalistic nations do see as it was needed, items like health care for all. And no, there is no existential threat for the nations that found out that it was also cheaper to find ways to give access to health care to all their people.

It may be just 10 for all I know, but I do not rely just on that. Carry on with your silly putdowns.

I have to add that you also do miss that a lot of what I post I do research and I find that it is educational, I do think that is important to report what is found rather than ignorance, don’t you think?

What conclusions do you draw from the evidence of your link?

That there is no existential threat for the nations that found out that it was also cheaper to find ways to give access to health care to all their people.

That is, again, employing “socialistic” solutions does not lead to an existential threat. Calling solutions like that “the end of the world” is a very, very silly thing. It is falling indeed for the fearmongering of the sources of information you rely on.

I forgot too that many on the audience have not bothered to reply to you over here because most of the audience is over here in the pit:

I would be surprised if there was anyone who wasn’t posting.

Maybe. It depends. If you just go googling for things that support your viewpoints, yes, it’s a waste of time. I hang out here, read media matters, daily beast, breitbart, daily wire, cnn, listen to daily wire’s Ben Shapiro, pod save America, huffington post.

It is interesting when you hear the same thing discussed from two different viewpoints, and get two different conclusions, and realize just how much each side leaves out to make their case.

Andy thinks we are on different worlds. That fact is that there are three movies showing on the same screen. There is the right version, the left version and the complete version.

You, I think, see only the left version. Anything that is outside of it, is a “garbage source,” so of course you have such strong and unnuanced opinions that lean so far in one direction. It’s very easy these days to only hear and see things that you agree with.

Try a deep dive into intelligent conservatism for two weeks. I’d recommend just reading the Daily Wire and listening to Ben Shapiro (he is probably the fairest and smartest commentator on the right.). Afterwards go back and listen or read what you normally did for a week in addition to Ben.

What you will first think is that you have been poisoned, and how insidious it is, and how it screwed you up and you wish you had never done it. Then you will maybe think that the stuff you used to read was doing the exact same thing.

Risk your soul and educate yourself to the point where you understand and sympathize with the right, as I have done with the left. Than come talk to me.

That’s an interesting read on the data.

That’s your audience? It’s good they have you to protect their fragile minds from the likes of me.

The only audience I am trying to help or improve with my posting here is myself.

So says the one that tell us that there is no audience, well that was wrong, as it was a lot of what you claimed.

And on edit: about your last post: too late, that is my line.
