There are a lot of them. I’m curious what the teeming millions believe.
I’m not asking for your reasons, each probably could have its own thread.
For example, I do not believe Oswald acted alone. It probably wasn’t as involved as some would have you believe (CIA and Castro involvement), but too much has surfaced over the years.
Still trying to think of something witty to say here
I don’t think Oswald acted alone, either. Not sure just who he was working with or for, though.
I think Roswell is hooey, but I don’t think we’re alone in the cosmos, and I think someone, somewhere, is sitting on something that will prove it for everyone. I don’t think I’ll hear about it in my lifetime, but I’m sure one of my descendants will. Nothing I lose sleep over.

Here in Huntsville, a kid hacked his family up with a hatchet. It didn’t make the national news, even though it was a far more brutal killing than most stories that do. I’ve begun to speculate that the media has either a strange bias or a tacit agreement towards downplaying stories of violence that don’t involve guns. I figure the hatchet story would have made the news if they could have worked a gun control issue into it. It had all of the other angles – Satanism, rock music… but no guns. The picture in the paper showed them dragging the wild-eyed, bare chested, blood splattered boy away. The picture from Jonesboro was just a cute kid in camo with a rifle.
Johnny Angel: The Huntsville story probably didn’t get much National coverage because the kid only hacked up his family – he didn’t go into his school and start hacking people up.
He also wasn’t wearing one of those kewl goth Keanu-Reaves-in-The-Matrix trenchcoats.
I believe there is a nation wide conspiracy to influence my buying decisions by placing messages on television and radio, in magazines, around major sporting events, and along transportation routes. I have evidence that this conspiracy involves a number of major corporations.
I think Marilyn was done in by dirty dealings - too much shit. She was found with no bra. She always wore a bra to sleep in, comfort and protecting the goods.
As someone who believes that Lee Harvey Oswald acted alone, but has always wondered about motive, I sorta like the theory that LHO was actually trying to kill Governor Connally. Connally was a conservative figure (as with any governor of a Southern state in the early 60’s) and was Navy Secretary when LHO was drummed out of the Marine Corps (it was a form of discharge better than dishonorable but worse than honorable – what is that called?) for his beliefs about and attempted dealings with the Cubans.
Though JFK wasn’t the liberal saint he’s made out to be in retrospect – Bay of Pigs, his efforts for civil rights were lukewarm, and he had no plans to pull the US out of Vietnam – it’s a hell of a lot more likely that someone with communist-tending beliefs like LHO would be trying to kill a Southern conservative governor who he blamed for his Marine discharge than a Democratic president who LHO allegedly admired.
I believe that “Cecil Adams” is actually a pseudonym used by someone who doesn’t want his (her?) real name revealed. Furthermore, I believe Ed Zotti and the management of the Chicago reader are aware of this and allow it to continue!
Amen, brother. I heard that RFK was pulled over doing 50 mph in a 20 zone the night she died, driving away from the direction of her home. (ick, that grammer is not my finest)
I have a friend in military intelligence who has sworn to let me know if she stumbles on anything re: Marilyn.

Lee Harvey Oswald did not act alone. He had help from an alien race called the xtorl. Elvis is currently undercover, trying to determine their secret hideout, here on Earth. Marlyn is, of course, his current wife. Many people see Elvis and Marlyn every day, but the CIA is using mind control via subliminal messages on TV to make us forget that we see them. The FBI are manufacturing Hitler clones and are planting them in the US post office for subversive purposes unknown. Occasionally one of these clones malfunctions and brings his entire arsenal to work. More people prefer RC Cola to both Coke and Pepsi, however Steven Spielberg, supreme commander of Hollywood owns 51% of the underground conglomerate CoPep and has a vested interest in swaying public opinion. All of this is tolerated by Bill Gates, the grand poobah of the entire planet Earth, and more than 70% of Jupiter. Should Elvis succeed in his quest, Gates will take control of most of the planets in our Galaxy. The plan will most likely fail, however because the xtorl messiah is due to be born in the next several months… You didn’t really believe that Mellisa’s baby was David Crosby’s, did you?
I’ve always wondered (with no reasons to prove what I’m saying) if the London Police were reasonably sure of the identity of Jack The Ripper, and
a) did not publish it because the accused was of too high rank (e.g. Prince Albert Victor), or
b) did not publish it because there was insufficient evidence for a trial, but closed the case because the perpetrator was dead (e.g. Thomas Cream).
I think that the two party system involves a cadre of party insiders - unelected, powerful, men (and perhaps women) who choose, by their own methods, the candidates we are allowed to vote for; candidates who are vetted long before they get anywhere near a primary. Whichever candidate we elect is beholden to these “hidden” powers. Okay they aren’t exactly a shadow government, but considering their ability to shape the government and society, and the lack of media coverage they get, it’s enough to make one a little uneasy.
There are two such factions, and they are rivals: one Democrat and one Republican. That isn’t so much a conspiracy, it’s the way the system is supposed to work. But it becomes conspiratorial if the two factions find themselves in any kind of a “gentlemen’s agreement” to preserve their power - like, say, blocking advances by any third party that might arise; or further delimiting the powers of the government, which they so strongly influence, in a way that Libertarian could elaborate at far more length than I.
Given human nature, can anyone doubt the emergence of such a gentlemen’s agreement among the two party structures we currently have?
As conspiracy theories go, though, this one is fairly weak: the “bad guys” are really only maintaining their position in the status quo, rather than planting mind-control chips in our brains or something, you know, ambitious like that. I also doubt it’s a conscious collaboration between the parties anyway; more like a common self-interest in rival parts of our elite class.
I also believe there was a conspiracy against JFK. I believe it involved LHO, but whether as an active participant or as a patsy, I don’t know. I believe the Mafia was the main actor, with lesser assistance from the Cuban right wing in Florida, and especially with the willing collusion of J.Edgar Hoover, who despised the Kennedys singly and individually and who it is now know was for decades blackmailed by organized crime with the secret of his “homosexualism”.

I believe Oswals acted alone, that Roswell was a bunch of hooey, and that most so called conspiricies are full of it.
That said, I do believe that there is a spy plane that has been nicknamed the ‘Aurora’ that is Mach5+ in use by the US, and that the NSA routinely violates American privacy laws.
