What cool thing would you buy from Best Buy?

If you had a 25 dollar gift certificate what cool thing would you buy? If you had to add say, even another 75 of your own, what would you buy?

Don’t try to guess what I need or would buy - tell me what cool thing *you *would buy.

Right now, I’d buy that other stick of RAM I need. That’s all I can think of, unless I decided to pick up a DVD.

A force-feedback steering wheel with pedals, for whatever game system or computer you happen to own. The latest version of the Logitech Driving Force, whatever they call it, or some equivalent. They’re great for driving games, it makes them worth playing. If you have any left over buy the latest Gran Turismo, or a World Rally Championship game, or a Colin McRae Rally if they still make those.

Something you can get for just about $100, is one pair of Alpine Type-S car speakers which should be great if your car only has standard crap speakers. (I’d put them in the front.) You still have to deal with installation, though. I bought a pair; they sounded better in the store than any others for that price, but they aren’t installed yet.

(Another car thing is a kit of Dynamat sound insulation, but again installation costs more unless you want to do it. Like the speakers I have it but it isn’t in yet so I can’t say how well it works. They say to do the doors first. You may not need it if you have an upscale car though.)

Buffy and Angel seasons on DVD are selling for $20 each on Amazon. If Best Buy has the same, you could get either all of Angel, or all the good seasons of Buffy, the first five.

I’d buy a new car stereo with an input jack for my ipod. Currently our car is radio ONLY, no cassette, no nothing. So that would be my purchase. One of those ones with the removable faceplate, digital display and maybe some blue LED lights. Last I checked a low-end one was going for $99.

The only things I ever really buy from Best Buy are DVDs and CDs, so I wouldn’t need to add that much cash (if any) to use up a $25 gift card. I think the DVD currently on the top of my list is Sports Night, since I got Firefly and Serenity for Christmas.

If we could go back in time a week, I’d say I’d replace my under-cabinet kitchen CD player with a better, newer model. But I already did.

I’d buy another Linksys NSLU2 network USB-drive NAS adapter thingy.

Ink cartridges.

I’d get the Sims 2 Pets expansion.
It’s probably not what I *should * get, but it’s what I’d want.

Nothing.

I’d swap it for $20 cash, & got to a really good used bookstore I know of.

Toner. Might as well stock up for the cartridge I’ll need in about another year from now. (So much cheaper to use than inkjet!)

If I was doing the “and add $75” bit, I’d get a Wacom Graphire tablet if I didn’t already have a Wacom Intuos tablet.

Oh, you know, stuff… Things…

Maybe a pack of AA’s and a 25’ length of phone line. Or, if I didn’t already have one, a Tom Petty CD. Or another flash drive that I’ll never use.

I am leaning towards USB Docking Station It is more than I originally said, but it would be useful.

I’ve seen sunglasses shaped like the year. Better hurry, though, because 2010 will be the end of that.

Well, I’d have to add quite a bit… but I’d get a wireless cable TV transmitter.
See, I got GrizzWife her own TV/DVDplayer combo for Christmas and she wants it in our bedroom upstairs… or maybe in her sewing room.
Either way, there’s no coaxial run to either room and it’s worth those dollars to NOT have me do the labor (or hire it out) to get a cable outlet up there.

That is kind of intersting to me. I will have to investigate that. I don’t, at this time, have tellivision in other rooms, but maybe…

An extra battery for my camera.

Get it, it’s fun!!

I’d get Sims 2 OFB, and a battery recharger for my camera.
