What could be making my fingernails stronger?

I usually keep my fingernails at a modest length, but get lazy and wait to trim them when they get longish and start to chip. However right now they’re all at a fairly good length and they’ve all remained even, and I can feel that they’re not weakening as they grow out.

Is there something that you can do or eat or something that would strengthen nails? I’m honestly not even sure what nails are made of. I can’t think of anything I’ve done differently of late that might have this kind of effect.

Do you eat jello? Jello contains gelatin which strengthens nail. You probably don’t want to know where gelatin comes from.

A healthy diet (fresh food from the 5 food-groups), exercise, sleep, lots of fluids and lucky genetics will give you good nails.

Or you can paint strengtheners on them like nail polish.

Or get fake ones.

Have you passed an age milestone? Puberty, menopause, the ends thereof?
