It’s very weird… On very rare occasions, maybe three or so times in memory (all during this calendar year, I think), I will wake up to see things as a different color than they usually are, like normally white things looking gold and other such changes that I can’t remember right now.
It seems to exclusively happen when I fall asleep on the couch in the living room in late afternoon/early evening, so the room lights are on. I thought at first it was a sunset effect (the first time was near sundown during the summer), but it seemed to happen tonight, and it’s completely dark out. I thought maybe it was a dream, but after it happened more than twice, I wasn’t so sure. I usually don’t have recurring dreams, and I thought I was awake, but then I realize that I could very well have been wrong. I didn’t have an eye exam this year because of coronavirus, but the doctor has been saying that my eyes are physically very good and stable for as long as I’ve been seeing him (although obviously, as a middle aged person, it’s not as good as it used to be).
The fact that I can’t seem to clearly recall specific color changes (I think I remember what changed color, but not TO what) seems to indicate to me that it was a dream, but I was wondering, is there anything else that could explain it?
