What did you discover during the down time?

It wasn’t until I wasn’t able to spend any time here, that I realized I was spending too much time here.

Hmmm…judging by the reaction I’d have to say that the “man” she “discovered” is the one in the boat.

The downtime was an unwelcome but needed reality check. I, too, was spending too much time here. It was appalling how much time I actually spent “just peeking” at work: way more than I’d believed.

So I got a lot more work done, and happily dove into a lot of books that had stacked up unread. I also spent more time with friends, playing with the dog, getting niggly little tasks done, etc.

This place is still wonderful, but I’m carefully regulating the time I spend here now.

      • I discovered two days ago that even as my home computer was showing me the message “Sorry, this board is down for routine maintenance”, I could reach it just like normal from the local college’s computers (and pretty damn nicely too, at 100 K/sec). *** At least, it looked normal; I didn’t remember my password so I could try to post anything, and this was before the email news arrived. The first couple of days I was having technical problems of my own, and I didn’t know anything anywhere else was wrong. - MC, still(sigh)

I discovered another message board but got cut off when I hit a space next to a person’s user name, thinking I would get their profile!! It is SO much more progressive here!

“Cheat is TEACH, backwards!” Doodlebug’ Up the Down Stair Case

I discovered that this is indeed rather addicting, and I didn’t get to tell anyone I was going to be gone for a few days. So, no one missed me anyway. I went to visit a dear friend I hadn’t seen in about 8 years, and had a great time!!! YAWN Now, to catch up on all the sleep I missed on the trip from talking til dawn every day and all that driving by myself. I really missed this place while I was gone. Glad to be back, gladder that it’s back!

Life is teaching you some painful lessons. But it is from adversity that strength is born. You may have lost the inning, but I know you’ll win the game.

And Lexicon, dear. I can understand being bored, but couldn’t you find anything else to do besides look at your cock??? And apparently, eat a lot?

Strainger:

personal update from the resident crackwhore: Sorry Strainger, Boatman and I decided a bit ago that there were way too many obstacles to overcome and that remaining friends was in both our best interests. He went back to his wife and I wished him every happiness.

If anything, I have learned that life is a plethora of pathways and making the choice of which to follow, sometimes requires a map… or at least stopping to ask directions.

I really try to be good but it just isn’t in my nature!
