What did you rent last night?

If you do so through a legal enetity (as opposed to a typical file-sharing network), you’re gonna want to clear that up right now. the SDMB administration is quite vehement about protecting copyright, whether it be their own or someone else’s.

We were finally assimilated by the TVblorg after a hiatus of about six years, so what did my wife get for our first viewing?

Men in Black

Reign of Fire

As you can guess, we batted .500 on this pair.

High Art. I caught part of it on the Independent Film Channel a few weeks ago, and I finally broke down and rented it when it became obvious they weren’t going to replay it to death like they have Cookies Fortune and Kicking and Screaming.

On Friday night Dad rented

The Good Girl (good!)
The Bourne Identity (good!)
Ballistic: Ecks vs Ecker (ugggh what a boring movie).

I rented a movie called “Double Whammy”. It was pretty solid, it has Dennis Leary and Elizabeth Hurley. Dennis Leary is a policeman and we can all guess what part Elizabeth Hurley plays. It was actually a pretty decent movie and I really hadn’t heard of it before I came accross it in the video store.

Didn’t rent anything, but my copy of The Boondock Saints came on Thursday, so I watched it again. Great movie.

Monsoon Wedding. Beautiful movie! The music was the best thing about it.

Finally got around to watching October Sky that we got from Netflix a couple of weeks ago. I really like Jake Gyllenhaal. Going to keep an eye on him.
