Welcome to wonderful world of “It’s In The Script.”
Die Another Day was the second Bond movie I saw, the first being Tomorrow Never Dies. The pick-up lines made me wonder if secret agents had to take Crappy Come-Ons 101 to get their 00 license, but overall, I really enjoyed the movie. I’d picked up enough from reviews and pop culture and such to get the references to the earlier movies.
This movie actually made me want to see the rest of the Bond movies. I rented Goldfinger last night, and I’m planning to see some more.
People are complaining about Berry’s dialoge, but she was not there for the story. I thought the explicit scene through the glass made that clear. Also did any one get anyone shot, there was missles, and lasers, but no action with Bond and his pp7. I admit the fire and Ice themes were pretty cool (Iceland being the land of fire and Ice). But all and all it may be the beginning of the end for Bond films.
