This is the last large roast left from a half-side of beef purchase, and I have no earthly idea what to do with it. Google is no help–I get a lot of sirloin tip roast recipes, but no round tip recipes. I have an oven, Dutch oven, crockpot, Big Green Egg…pretty much anything you can cook things in, I can do. I am just not sure how to treat this cut of meat, because I’ve never actually heard of it before and can’t find much on it when I go searching.
Any ideas?
A round tip roast is the same thing as a sirloin tip roast, so any of your Googled recipes will work fine.
Personally, I’d do it as simply as possible - salt, pepper, and thyme on the outside and oven roast it rare.
When’s dinner?

French Dips!! Warning though- you will need to add water- I think it must be a typo because when I used only 1/4 cup water I got salt soup, but added hot water to taste when it was finished and it turned out great!
