Are the hoaxers watching the Mars footage and formulating new conspiracy-type theories of how it’s faked?
I wish! The height of the old conspiracy theories never amounts to more than reasons.
Moon landing hoaxers focus on sending humans. The basic claim is that the radiation in space is too much to block entirely and humans wouldn’t survive.
I don’t remember any claim that unmanned landers were never sent.
There is a subset of moon landing CTers who claim that space doesn’t exist, that the sky is literally a crystal hemisphere over the earth with the start studding its surface. The sun and moon? Reflections or holographic projections.
What are flat earthers saying about the Mars mission, or any other planetary missions? Are the other planets not spheres, or is earth the only flat planet? Or is hoaxes all the way down?

I know one. He believes in the flat earth, ice wall around Antarctic, and hard dome. Sun and moon are lights that are inside the dome. Stars he can’t really explain too well but doesn’t have to. The US tried to nuke a hole in the dome during operation fishbowl (sounds monumentally stupid as that is holding back potentially enough water to flood the earth to Noah standards). Things go up or down based on buoyancy, not gravity (which does not exist). If you book a plane flight to-from the southern hemisphere that would violate his disk earth model, yo can book it, and show up to the airport but the flight will never take off, or be diverted if it does making unneeded stops and route diversions to make the world appear round. The moon landing was a hollywood style hoax. All photos since then including the martian probes are all digital computer made up. The whole reason for this is Jesus will take His elect to heaven, but Satan wants to control who’s left, so Satan made up the whole ball earth thing, to take glory away from God and have them disqualify the Bible’s description of how the earth is, and when Jesus takes them Satan will deceive the masses by making it seem like those people are simply relocating to mars and there is no rapture and no God.

IANA Bible scholar, but where does it say the earth is flat? I know about the 4 corners passage, but that’s pretty weak sauce to support that much wacko.
He hangs his hat more on the Bible does not say the earth is a spinning ball then comes up with support of why it says it’s flat, and also people with ‘expert authority’ in the subject far surpassing his ability to interpert it. This model of the earth that he accepts was made by biblical scholars of their time in which was supposedly made from Bible passages concerning the earth and nothing else. Here is the image he point to as the model he accept ‘because those who created this model know more about the Bible then he does’

ISTM they wouldn’t have to. Since their beliefs don’t follow any set of…anything, there’s no reason why they can’t deny the moon landing but agree that the mars rovers are actually there and that we put them there.

He should become a pilot or work for an airline in whatever position would require him to be in on the conspiracy. Then he can blow it wide open for everyone to see.
You should remind him that the bible also doesn’t say that he exists, or cars or flat screen TVs.
It all depends upon how far down the CT hole they are. If they believe rocket engines work in a vacuum, then they are less likely to believe that Mars rovers are a hoax. Even further down the rabbit hole are the likes of Sept Clues Forum that think anything reported n the major news media is a hoax of some sort.
Wow. That’s some mighty crazy right there. Are they unaware that buoyancy is, of course depends on gravity?
They think it’s a significant step towards being able to put a man on the moon, finally.
Nitpick: Buoyancy could also be from acceleration.
But back to that guy, His claim that gravity is some ‘woo’ explanation that was made up and no one really knows what it is and all the experiments do is prove buoyancy.
Nitpick²:
Einstein’s ground-breaking realization (which he called “the happiest thought of my life”) was that gravity is in reality not a force at all, but is indistinguishable from, and in fact the same thing as, acceleration, an idea he called the principle of equivalence.
