What do the following have in common? (game)

No one’s even tried my George Lazenby one, but I’ll post another.

Charles de Gaulle, George V, Franklin D. Roosevelt, Clemenceau (in that order)

Does it have to do with WWI?

WWI? No.

Jeffrey Hunter, James Doohan, and Tom Hanks. (Besides the fact that they’re all actors.)

That’s James Doohan’s third appearance in this thread. That’s one guy with a lot of trivia hanging around him.

James Dean, Judi Dench, George Cadbury (chocolatier), Ben Kingsley, Richard Nixon.

They all had sex with James Doohan’s wife?

Not that I’m aware of.

Since you’ve revealed you attended a Quaker school, I’m guessing these people all are or were members of the Society of Friends (I know Nixon was).

Grover Cleveland, Woodrow Wilson, Calvin Coolidge, and Ulysses Grant were all presidents of the United States, but I’m thinking of something much more specific that they had in common.

I don’t know if this is the answer, but it’s true nonetheless: they all had four sons (as did Lincoln, whose maternal uncle is an ancestor of Tom Hanks). I’m guessing that’s not it, though.

Nevertheless, just to bring James Doohan in a fourth time:
James Doohan, Charles Durning, Yogi Berra, Art Carney

Sampiro
James Doohan, Charles Durning, Yogi Berra, Art Carney

They are definitely WW2 veterans. Yogi Berra and Art Carney were in the D-Day invasion. (Not sure about James Doohan or Charles Durning).

How many unaswered questions do we have on this thread? Anyone feel like coordinating these?

Yes- specifically they were all D-Day veterans. (That’s where Doohan lost his finger.)

Hmm… 3 of the four have been aircraft carriers, but not George V (that was a battleship), and the order is wrong, anyway.

Paris metro stations.

Correctimundo. (James Dean was raised Quaker by relatives in Indiana after his father’s death.)

Charles de Gaulle, George V, Franklin D. Roosevelt, Clemenceau

Yes; excellent job. Did you know that one, or did you find it on a web search?

(Specfically, those are the stations on the Paris Metro, line 1, along the Champs Elysees, from the Arc de Triomphe going toward Place de la Concorde

I thought Dean’s father outlived him by many years.

Speaking of Quakers, James Michener was raised one, which adds another foursome:

James Michener, Melissa Gilbert, Moses, Nicole Ritchie, Andrew Jackson Jr.

Ooh! Ooh! Ooh! All adopted?

I’ll repost mine from before:

John Lennon, John F Kennedy, Leonardo da Vinci, Charles de Gaulle.

Dang, that one didn’t last long. (Right answer.)

Other than both were Catholic (more or less), I’m having trouble just coming up wiht a JFK/Leonardo connection.

They all have airports named after them?

I’ll repost mine too: Elvis Presley, Vin Diesel, Linda Hamilton, Philip K Dick.
