What do the following have in common? (game)

Another repost, with a hint.

Sharon Stone, Jerry Garcia, Prince, The Captain and Tennille.

Ronaldo almost made the list this year.

My bad – after Dean’s mother died. Sorry.

No, you used Doohan the same way I did. I was going for the D-Day connection also. (Jeffrey Hunter in The Longest Day, Tom Hanks in Saving Private Ryan, Doohan in the real thing.)

Warren Spahn, Ralph Houk, and Nathan Amchan.

They’re twins.

How about:
Pablo Picasso, Eddie Vedder, Catherine Deneuve, Lauren Bacall and Patti Davis

Scuba Ben: They all served in WWII

42fish: All have the same birthday

how about these:

Moshi Dayan, Marjan, Sandy Duncan, Sammy Davis Jr.

All have glass eyes? I know Duncan does, I believe Davis Jr does…

Correct.

There are two answers to this one, one very easy and the other “literary”:

JFK, C.S. Lewis, Aldous Huxley

(Liberace could be added to the twins list, incidentally- like Elvis [a fellow worshipper of glitz and his Mama] his twin died at birth.)

Ah, but where in WWII?

And as for yours – one-eyed Jews? (I think Moshe Dayan never had a glass eye.)

Where? Google doesn’t…I mean I dunno.

Just one-eyed is what I was looking for. Marjan’s not Jewish. Unless eating zebra is kosher.

They died on the same day.

How about:
Jeffrey Hunter (2nd appearance!), Donald Sutherland and Willem Dafoe

Just checked; they don’t.

(‘They’ being Pablo Picasso, Eddie Vedder, Catherine Deneuve, Lauren Bacall and Patti Davis)

Didn’t know it, and confirmed it with a web search, but that’s not (directly) how I figured it out. My first thought was the ship link, and that didn’t pan out. I did know that George V was the name of a Paris hotel, so (given that two of the other names were French), I tried that theory with some web browsing. That didn’t pan out either, although it looked promising. (Oddly, there is a Paris FDR hotel, but I couldn’t find a Hotel Clemenceau there.) In trying to check the hotel theory, I came across references to streets and Metro stations in Paris with some of the names you listed. I checked it out, and found the link.

Here’s one: Lisbon, Knoxville, Rome, London.

I’m going to guess that they’re all located in Tennessee?

I believe all played Jesus Christ on film.

Random: World’s Fair sites?

Still unguessed is mine – the very specific link among former U.S. presidents Grover Cleveland, Woodrow Wilson, Calvin Coolidge, and Ulysses Grant.

Not the link I had in mind, but apparently there are, indeed, towns in Tennessee with his name. Good guess.

The link I have in mind involves the London in the UK, the Rome in Italy, the Lisbon in Portugal and, yes, the Knoxville in Tennessee.

No, or at least this isn’t what I had in mind.

All had true first names other than the one they are known for. For example, Thomas Woodrow Wilson. (Knew this about Wilson, was pretty sure of Grant, and had to look up the other 2).
