Lay z Boy.
From experience, they are for one normal sized person, a book and a dog. (They really are awesome).
Nope. Try an image search for “armchair.”
It’s “my chair.” It took a long time to get the ass groove just right, so please get off it. Right now.
And here I was ready with the soft cushions.
Have you got all the stuffing up one end?
Try a dictionary search, yourself.
Good god almighty.
The term I thought of (other than just “chair”) was “overstuffed chair”.
OK. Can you cite anyone dealing in actual furniture using “armchair” to describe the types you mentioned?
Although the Dante chair is easier to find referenced under the alternate Savonarola name. But I hope you will allow that that still stays in the spirit of your challenge, if not the absolute letter.
Why you didn’t do your own search before asking me to, I have no idea.
No, I meant “armchair” only. If people want Adirondacks, they don’t ask for armchairs, and if they ask for armchairs, they won’t be shown Adirondacks.
:: pulls up a chair ::
mmm, I wonder what I’d get if I image-search for “chair made only of goalposts, all on wheels”…
although it wasn’t worth finding or clicking on, truth be told
We call it “The big chair.”
But if you are shopping you’ll find it under “Chair-and-a-half”
Some online retailers use the term"accent chair".
This was my choice too.
Voulez-vous coucher avec moi?
Not disagreeing with you, but when I hear “accent chair,” I think of a chair in a foyer that is more decoration then an actual place to sit for more then a moment. I’m more thinking of a club chair or chair-and-a-half (from the posts above.)
