Atop our little tree is…a cat? Get down, you mangy beast!
Where did that star go…?

A stuffed Christmas Moose with a string of 20 lights on him and now 2 little Moose hugging him.

Nothing yet. Gotta get that tree out of the garage soon. I think we have a silver star or somesuch which goes at the top of the tree.
We used to have a teeny tiny angel on our teeny tiny tree. She was retired a few years ago when I bought a blown glass topper like this at a bin sale. I really liked it - until my sister dropped it.
Guilt caused her to buy me a gorgeous Polish made glass topper circa 1920 at an antique store last year. It’s beautiful. Approximately 8" high, all pearly with gold and dark red accents. I haven’t had the heart to tell her how much the original topper was ($1.00) knowing how much she paid for this one ($45.00).
And she is now relegated to supervising only when the tree comes down.
I’ve previously commented here on my apathy regards to decorating crap for Christmas. I had to ask the Bus Wife in fact, if we have the “top” of the tree done.
I’m told it has been placed by the Kid. It’s the same as every year (rah), a straw-like angel that to me looks like nothing so much as a tamale with wings.
Is it January yet?
A Menorah.
I love the double takes.
That’s it! That’s what I have on my tree, only without the indent-design dealie, and it’s cream-coloured with gold details.
I never knew what to call it. Tree doo-hickey. Pretty dealie with the spike. Round double bubbled thing with pointy head. Tree kebaber. Lance.
I don’t have a tree, but my Mum and Dad always do. They just put a star on top.
Nothing.
We have hundreds of lights on the tree, and all red ornaments with a few silver placed among the red.
We have never found anything to fit on top of the tree that didn’t look kind of silly, so we stopped looking.
A light-up eight-point star, complete with tacky gold sequin paint that flakes off in the most cheap-ass way possible. But I like it.
A sock moose (like a sock monkey), named Chris Moose. I made him some tinfoil wings and a halo. He also has green pants and a red and white striped sweater.
No tree this year, the baby’s too little. Next year we’ll have to start from the ground, as neither of us has had a tree as adults. We’ll have to get lights, ornaments…and a topper. I think I’d like an angel standing in a star, if I can find such a thing. Also it should light up.
Cool the second Moose tree top.
A Jack-in-the-Box Millennium Ball.
Absolutely nothing atop our tree. But it is okay because it matches the bare theme.
I live with 2 roomies and one of them (my lil sis) used all of last years lights to wrap the patio in for year 'round festive lights.
She promised to purchase more this year for tree decor and has since decided it would be too much trouble.
This, after I spent an hour putting the huge artificial thing up.
Santa Hat.
I’d like to put Jesus up there if only so I could say, “Holy Impaled Jesus!”
We have the same thing minus the paint. We were going for cheap and tacky one year, but the topper really grew on us. I think it looks great.
A teddy bear. When we got all our Christmas stuff, oh, about three years ago now, we didn’t buy a tree topper. But it needed something. So now Dayne sits up there and keeps watch. He’s the best topper ever.
We’ll have a big light-up moravian star on ours this year.
