Copies of A Catcher In The Rye.
dog hair, beads, fabric, makeup and nail polish
The dog hair is useless and it’s a losing battle trying to keep it all in the vacuum or trash as the dog seems to like replacing her hair constantly. To be fair, she is a hound and it’s short hair. And yes, I rather prefer a furry hound to a nekked one.
I have hundreds of beads. I may someday use them to make jewelry. Or maybe they will just be there for me to play with. Have you ever run your hands through piles of beads? It’s tactile heaven. But still, 99% of people out there would say I have too many. I will continue to buy them, though.
I might someday use some of the fabic to make clothes or house things. I even have the sewing machine. My penchant for buying fabric far outstrips my desire to use the machine, though.
Makeup & nail polish are currently on my “DO NOT EVER BUY AGAIN” list. I am a sucker for the marketing. I love the colors. I like the thought that maybe THIS foundation will work for me. I, however, have not found any foundation that doesn’t bother my eyes. And I have not painted my nails in months. So, experience has just recently taught me that I just don’t need to buy this stuff 'cause I’m not gonna use it.
Years old gift clothes never worn and yet not yet donated to Goodwill
Wintermute - i believe some manner of fungal infection was at the bottom of mom’s skin problem. in wintertime, taking care of the horses, her hands would get really dry (to the point where the skin would crack and sometimes bleed, particular her thumbs). i was out there just as much, but didn’t have the same problem. as best i can recall, once she got it treated properly (and it may have also entailed some UV light treatments in the doctor’s office…sorry if i’m vague, but it’s been a number of years, and i was planning my wedding at the time), i don’t think the problem has recurred.
lachesis
I’d have to say pens too. I have hundreds of inexpensive ballpoint pens. (I’m obsessed with German made writing instruments, what can I say?)
lachesis, I’m sure I have no raspberry scented ones (I pretty much avoid fruit scents, but I’m sure I have some herbal ones. Let me hunt around for a bit.
Mt theory with buying DVD’s is that if you buy them in the right place they are about 3X the cost of a rental. Even if you buy a movie you have never seen before, watch it a couple of times and then sell it, you are better off than renting movies. So, I still think you can never have too many DVD’s. Sell the ones you think are mediocre on eBay and go buy something different. I’ve been doing this for a few years now and have a very, very eclectic collection of DVD’s.
I would be willing to purchase some decent Guiness or other Engish pub type pint glasses from you. And anythings with the Stolichnaya brand on it would be cool to. Drop me an e-mail if you’re interested…
Oh, and I have a vast collection of artwork done by my 7yo daughter. Everytime I clean, I end up with a new pile of it.
I also collect clothes that don’t fit. Particularly t-shirts that advertise movies. My mom’s boyfriend works for a theater chain down in the bay area, and everytime they visit, I get a few new shirts. Lord of the Rings t-shirt, cool. Pluto Nash t-shirt… not so cool.
Cats (3, which is 4 too many)

Yup, stickers can certainly work across all age ranges. Heck, I remember a few years ago when our Bible Study leader would encourage us with stickers when we memorized Bible verses and did our Bible Study. (and keep in mind that our group was in their late teens to mid-20s at the time)
Stickers are definitely versatile: decoration, rewards, encouragement, etc. Is it any wonder why I love them? (and thus have too many of them?) Good to know you’re using them!
