So there’s this big ol’ international “Ministerial Conference and Expo on Agricultural Science and Technology” going on in my neck of the woods, and the locals were issuing dire warnings for days about the Seattle/WTO riots in 1999. Locally, we’ve been getting a LOT of news about it, but it hasn’t seemed to get national (let alone international) coverage.

I heard a lot of idiots screaming (and this is verbatim) “C’mon people, big agribusiness is trying to kill our children!!!”.

Stupid, ignorant, unwashed, luddite wankers.
Also, I have never seen one of these protests before, but it was incredible how many of them were trying to piss off the cops, no doubt to make some sort of martyr of themselves.
I look forward to traffic finally being manageable in the downtown area again (I’s got’s library books to return, dagnabit!).
