My on-line buddy just asked me that and I thought it would be a good question here. For myself, there are no thoughts, just preparation for the orgasmic surge of energy from the base of my spine to every cell of my body–out the top of my head, fingertips and toes. I don’t think thought can occur just before orgasm. What’s the word out there?
I usually think about how great it would be if I had a sex partner to share it with.

Contrary to some of the other posters, I think you have presented something that is worthy of debate.
I am going to make the assumption that your on-line buddy is male. Being a male myself, I am going to speculate that your buddy was referring to the sequence of thoughts leading up to orgasm, and it is the last thought in this sequence that is in question.
I am going to take the position that this last thought in the sequence is the thought that creates the most sexual excitement. This is why magazine pornography is more popular than video pornography unless you can freeze frame the video and still be able to see the details.
In watching video pornography one is waiting for that certain frame to come up that will create the most sexual excitement. Watching the frames flash by on the tv is analogous to a sequence of thoughts. With magazine pornography you can flip thru the pages to build up the sexual resistance, then find the right picture for the sexual excitement. If the sexual excitement reaches the threshold, then you have the option to stay at this point or to drop back, or go over the top. The last thought is equivalent to the last picture. The same thing happens when you are using your thoughts to create a sexual fantasy without the aid of visual pornography, but sexual fantasy is still pornography.
Since I practice Karezza, I never have a last thought.

This is an interesting question. One that I have actually thought about before (in college…stoned…with my gf at the time). I think the intensity of the act drives us (speaking for males only now) into a millisecond coma right before the orgasm. In that split second we dont think about anything because we arent conscious.
Think about it. Is this far fetched?
