What do you think "City Chicque" clothing is for men?

We just got the itinerary for our all-inclusive trip to Cancún that is paid for by my partner’s workplace. This year, all of the planning has been done by the HQ in the Netherlands. They sent out the plans which include a group dinner together and have requested all of the men to wear “City Chicque (summer)” clothing.

We’re not sure if this is a translated Dutch term or if it’s a new term or what. We’re thinking a long sleeve dress shirt (untucked) and linen pants. What do you think?

Well, if a Google image search means anything, you might want to put on a few pounds.

You need a panama hat. All men need a panama hat for summer. And not one of those skimpy-brim trilbys either; you need a brim that will keep the sun out of you eyes.

Otherwise, a button-down shirt and light trousers would be my business casual warm weather seminar choice. (Is this trip business or a perk?)

It’s a bit of both. They had to make their numbers to go but two of the 6 days are meetings he has to attend.
