Let’s try this again, and set up the poll correctly this time. Feel free to add any extra comments.
Aww, you added my option, too! Thanks.
I was going to click on “I often feel like people exclude meaningful poll options and it upsets me,” but it doesn’t really upset me all that much.
My biggest problem with polls are that many people vote, then post exactly what they voted. Fucking redundant!
There wasn’t a good option for me. There never is.
Hmm. My three answers are currently the three most popular answers…
Part of my enjoyment of polls is the way they usually illustrate the ways that statistics can be easily interpreted in unreliable ways. It’s really hard to make a poll that covers all the options, and the fact that only people who enjoy polling threads are likely to read/vote in them makes it skewed from the very start.
Yeah, me too. Despite how I voted, I don’t really love voting in every poll, because some things I would prefer not to reveal.
And I like jokey answers, but I also like actual data sometimes.
I didn’t vote because there’s no “Other” option.
I don’t like having to select I love to … when I really mean I typically …. But I grit my teeth, select it, and accept it as hyperbole. Maybe this is what is meant by Do you like it when your poll answers have automatic qualifiers?
Or maybe that choice really meant I like it when a random answer is really a question, rather than actually a choice, and you don’t know what selecting it means, and this is a meta way of saying that. Or something..
ETA: I like it when a non-voting choice is given, in case I don’t want to vote, or shouldn’t vote, but want to see the results at the top of the same page.
I kind of screwed up A 2ND TIME. The 2nd to last option should not be “Do you…” but rather “I like it when poll answers have automatic qualifiers”
Oops
I’m not sure what voting for that option means. I guess it means you like asking that question!
Obviously, I do!
There’s only one worthwhile option here and it’s making me hungry.
I enjoy them, but I hate the stupid jokes that people feel compelled to use as an option.
I see the polls here as a bit of fun, interesting and something I consider for a short amount of time. When I ‘vote’ it isn’t for a new leadership or philosophy, it’s to add to the SD community’s info.
