I love lame-ass polls and make them myself from time to time. Usually they’re just a way for me to express my opinion. I like making polls where answer choices that disagree with me end in “because I’m stupid.” Actually, I haven’t done that yet, but should.

I like polls. It’s the dancers who get on my nerves.
I’ve learned quite a bit from polls here. Some that I started. Many that I didn’t. Polls are one of SDMB’s strong points.
If the question is posed carefully, and it’s an intriguing question or issue, responses in the hundreds can give a good Big Picture of the attitude of the Board in general. Not perfect, but adequate.
I don’t mind them, they can’t hurt me. The thread title is usually a good indicator for me with regards to futher clicking.
