I feel right at home with this format, since I frequent a number of other boards that use some incarnation of vBulletin. I know that admins have a lot of customization options with this software, and I imagine that once things get settled in, they’ll be able to look at doing some of them here (if that’s what they want to do). My only real problem is that I’m likely to forget just which board I’m replying to now that all the reply windows look so much alike.
I’m not fond of the automatic sig thing. I much prefer having to decide to use my sig rather than not use it. That’s a pretty minor thing, though, and for every feature someone hates, someone else will love it.
I think the new board is beeeeeooooootiful!!
The steelish purple color scheme almost exactly matches my Kaleidoscope scheme, and it’s so nice and soft looking.
I lIKE IT!!
I like that it has some nice features to make things easier to remember, such as code tags and whatnot. It also seems more efficient, and faster to load.
On the other hand, some threads might get out of control with excessive smileys, colored text of all sizes and fonts, and other such things. We’ll have to keep watch over that.
first post back. i like the colors, and this page here where you post seems kinda cool. i never knew how to make the little faces before, and now it seems almost too easy!
got no idea how many post i lost or what my sig is at this time, so this will be a suprise for all of us.
actually, i didn’t miss the boards too much and might just stay away instead of re-starting this time-wasting bad habit again…
I like it. Its like having a new car; trying to learn where all the bells and whistles are is kind of fun. And, so far, no one has come along and dirtied it up . . . yet.
I really, really like the smiley and vB Code buttons. Like preview, “Close All Tags” will be my friend. The link to the vB Code help page is great, too.
The smileys seem a little washed out, but I can’t decide how much of that is because I got used to the bboy smileys. Kind of like thinking the streetlights in my neighborhood look bland after a weekend in Vegas.
And the sticky notes and links to moved threads are great, as well.
