What do you use hot sauce for?

Most everything. It’d be easier to answer what I don’t put it on!

It’s heaven on all things, meat, cheese, egg.

It’s in my spaghetti sauce, and every Asian dish I cook, which is a lot. Everything else, it’s on instead of in!

I use it mostly for decoration in my collection of hot sauces. But for cooking it’s too heat up foods meant to be hot and spicy.

Yeah, pretty much.

You guy DO realize “I put that shit on everything” is a slogan for Franks Red Hot right?

Yes, we all DO!

• morning egg sandwiches (fried egg on roll or english muffin, bacon, cheddar cheese)\

• tuna fish salad sandwich or melt

• chili or hash (of course)

• turkey breast sandwich

• meat loaf

• gumbo

• turnip greens, mustard greens, kale, chard, broccoli rabe, and other leafy greens

• rutabagas

• pulled pork sandwiches

• chicken salad / chicken salad sandwiches

• deviled eggs, boiled eggs

• omelets

• hell anything eggs except maybe eggnog

• vegetable soup
MMmm yeah easier to list what I don’t put it on. Doesn’t go on ice cream, in my coffee, on my creme brulee, biscuits or rolls, iced tea… probably a few other things

Hot Sauce is the new bacon.

Seconding this. Sweet hot sauces like Toad Sweat are truly delightful, and the resulting mix of ice and fire when put on ice cream is to die for. Great on cheesecake, too!

Try the lemon vanilla to start with, it’s the mildest.

Then work your way up to Chocolate Orange or Cranberry for a medium heat.

Key Lime is the hottest, and my fave. Especially for Key Lime pie!

Interesting  but how do you know what Toad sweat tastes like? :stuck_out_tongue:

  1. pork barbeque
  2. beef stroganoff
  3. pizza
  4. most things battered and fried

Pretty much any hot, savory dish.

I generally don’t use hot sauce on dishes that aren’t served hot (sandwiches, cold pizza, etc).

Almost all savory dishes.

Salad.

Popcorn.

Peanuts.

Usually some combo of hot sauce and cayenne pepper on the above.

And I use different sauces for different foods. For pizza, I use ABC Indonesian hot sauce (kind of like a spicier version of siracha), it’s thick like ketchup so it doesn’t work in all foods. For soups, I use Tabasco and for sandwiches, I like a spread of harrissa.

I’ve only discovered it recently. Now it (normally tabasco) goes on pizza, fries, eggs (fried and boiled), fried chicken, quesadillas, fried rice. Nearly everything delicious and bad for you basically, to make it even more delicious.
