What does a Digital Pathology Slide Scanner make?

I just had my second interview at a pathology lab. No one has mentioned money yet. The job entails scanning slides of biopsies, ensuring they’re scanned correctly, and the slide data, paper data, and computer data all match; maintaining the scanners, and on my downtime helping the QA department file slides. The person I spoke to said that he’s not anticipating that much downtime, though. http://swz.salary.com/salarywizard/layoutscripts/swzl_salaryresults.asp?hdJobCode=HC07000421&hdJobTitle=Pathology+Assistant&hdJobCategory=HC03&hdNarrowDesc=Healthcare+--+Practitioners&hdZipCode=&hdStateMetro=&geometrocode=&hdGeoLocation=U.S.+National+Averages&hdKeyword=Digital+Pathology+Slide+Scanner+&op=salswz_psr&joblevelcode=1&pagefrom=selectjob&hdLocationOption=0&hdSearchByOption=0&countertype=0&jobcounter=2

Insert your own loaction data, and make any changes you see fit to make the results better. Or maybe someone will suggest a website other than salary dot com.

Thanks, that’s what I was pulling up too. It’s also typical for labs to reimburse tuition, so after 2 years of school it’s a hopeful salary. It’s an industry change for me, and I just need to know if I can survive on what they offer and pay for college during those two years. I was hoping there was someone here that works in a lab and can get a ball park figure.
