As many of you probably already know, CSICOP (i.e., Committee for the Scientific Investigation of the Paranormal) is an organization of skeptical scientists. And perhaps persuant to this, they have this website to break people of their habit of bugging others with superstitious chain letters. They tell you, if you must send a chain letter to someone, don’t bother some poor stranger with it. Send it to them. And they even provide you with a postal address here and an online method here. When you send it via the online method, they claim to send it to 10 mail boxes.
My only question is this: what on earth does CSICOP do with the chain letters you send them? They are a skeptical group of scientists after all. Do they just laugh and discard it? Or do they do something else with it? Someone please tell me if you know, because I have always wondered this.
