I know this is a rookie question, but I don’t know. What does WAG stand for?
I’m thinking “Wild Assed Guess” but I am a crude man.

It’s listed on the glossary of terms sticky on ‘about this message board.’ (Personally I always read it as ‘wild-ass guess’, but that’s a minor distinction.)
Wild Ass (or Assed) Guess is correct.

A related term is SWAG, “Scientific Wild-Assed Guess,” for a guess that is based on some expertise in the subject rather than pure speculation.
SWAG has confused me in the past because it has another meaning. It can also mean souvineers, wearables, and gifts. The Monty Python website used this term for the cool junk they sell.
my personal favorite: AMF YOYO. It is not something your likely to read on the Straight Dope.
