I buy half good candy (chocolate Hersheys, Snickers, etc.) and half cheap stuff (Tootsie rolls, Smarties). I usually give two of each to the trick-or-treaters. I’ll never forget telling my husband he had door duty years ago - he held the bowl out and said “take whatever you want.” Whaaa?? I had to tell him this wasn’t a very good strategy after he came in with half the candy gone after one set of goblins!
Live fish.
spoonsful of molasses
broken keys
We’re finally in a place that might have trick '0 treat traffic. Going with those [url=http://www.chemlite.com/products/item.asp?ITEM_ID=1253]chemlite bracelets/url] . My cousin buys in bulk, so we can get them for $0.10/each.
Herpes.
And Skittles.
I’m with you, Blonde. I give out equal amounts of the cheap stuff and the good stuff. I do, however, always buy one small bag of those tiny little lollipops especially for the inevitable surly teens who couldn’t be bothered to dress in costume before begging door-to-door.
I got a big bag of mixed stuff - most I don’t like at all, and some I can just tolerate. That way, I won’t be snacking on it. I don’t know how many kids we got last year - maybe 30 or 40?
Each kid will get several pieces and when I run out, the lights will go out. I can go watch TV in my bedroom and it’ll look as if no one is home.
Hey those seem neat. Being that they’re outdated closeouts, do you know about the quality?
