We are giving bags of pretzels mixed with tootsie rolls. We decided [my son and I] that we wanted a mixture that said “We care about your teeth…and yet, not so much.”
What are you going to give??

I don’t believe I’m giving out anything. I mean, I’m going trick-or-treating myself. Not in the usual sense parse, but within the confines of my dorm.
If I was to give out candy, I would give out…poisoned apples with razor blades infected with the bubonic plague in them. Or Snikers.
I’ve got these great new premium suckers.
They are called Candy Apple suckers, and
have half caramel stuck to half Frmer John’s Green Apple flavor.
They last forever, and are so good I ate them and had to get more!
Make that Caramel Apple suckers
Well, Trick or Treat here was on the 25th (yes, I think it’s a horrendous idea, but I don’t get to make the rules. At least not yet . . . ). We gave out 3 musketeers, nerds, Amazin’ Fruit, and Peppermint Patties.
We’re giving out Snickers, Three Musketeers, and M&Ms. I was going to give out York Peppermint Patties but I love those and they’re gone now… oops.
Kitty
Well, I have…
Hershey bars
Reese Sticks
Baby GooGoo Clusters
Snickers
Milky Way
Tootsie Pops
Reese’s Peanut Butter Cups
I’m positive I’m going to run out of candy. I did last year; only made it through by raiding my sister’s candy stash. And this year, she doesn’t have one.
last i saw my mom had come home with a 5lb bag of tootsie rolls…
Three Muskateers!
[sub]if i don’t eat them first[/sub]
Reese’s Peanut Butter Cups.
This way, if there are extra, I get a treat for a change…
Yer pal,
Satan

I give out regular-sized Snickers bars, but only for the first dozen or so kids. Then I shut off the lights and go to bed.
I have son=me rubbery finger puppet thingies that are shaped like ghosts, bats and jack-o-lanterns. Also Dem Bones (sweet tart type candy shaped like bones), Butterfingers and Hersheys minitures. The Milky Way Midnights are mine!
Lets see…
Twix, Snickers, Starburst, M&M minis, and a
couple of bags with a mixture of stuff.
And Reeses Cups. But those never seem to
make it out of the kitchen with the rest
of the candy!
This year, we are giving out Reese’s peanut butter cups, Tootsie Pops (how many licks does it take to get to the center of a Tootsie Pop?), Sweet Tarts, and Hershey Kisses. I also bought a bag of blue Gummi Sharks, but I don’t think they are going to last until tonight (I love Gummi candy). When I was a kid, one of my neighbors used to always give out quarters to the little ones and half dollars to the older kids. Needless to say, she was the favorite house to visit.
I got a couple of big bags of mixed stuff - Sweetarts, tootsie rolls, smarties, now-n-later, suckers, bubble gum… the kinda crap kids like. I hope we get rid of it all - I do NOT need to be eating htat stuff…
To be a Halloween scrooge: Yeah, right. Little kids putting on costumes and going out after dark to go door to door begging for sugar on the major Wicca holiday. I can’t figure out how many of my principals this violates.
Last month at Broadway on Broadway to promote the musical “Suessical,” they past out Cat-in-the-Hat hats. I’ve made a costume around it and will go out myself. How many chances do you get to wear a hat like that?
I did my candy shopping yesterday during lunch and forgot to bring it all home, so sitting next to me at my desk (how I’m going to get through the day without eating it all, I don’t know!) are:
Snickers
Milky Ways
KitKats
Reeses
Sugar Babies (my personal favorite)
Twix
York Peppermint Patties
Crunch
Hershey’s Milk Chocolate
(we get a million trick or treaters in our neighborhood)
Butterfingers
Reeses peanut butter cups
Reeses pieces
twizzlers
Jolly Ranchers
Three Musketeers
Snickers
Twix bars
Kitt Katts
Nestle Crunch bars
Baby Ruth bars
100 Grand bars
This is our first Halloween in this apartment in a triple-decker neighborhood, so my SO bought: mini Snickers, Milky Ways, and Reece’s Peanut Butter Cups. All stuff HE likes, in case there are no trick or treaters! Sneak.
Shoot, I’m comin’ to YOUR neighborhoods! I’m cheap so I give out whatever is the cheapest when I go shopping at Meijers.
So far I’ve got bubble gum, some banana type chewy thing and Reese’s something-or-other (they were on sale!).
