What does your state search for more than the other states?

http://statestats.appspot.com

You enter a term, and through the magic of the internet, you can find out the relative amount each state searched for that term.

So far, VT is #1 for:
Marijuana
Cows
Maple Syrup
Hippies
Subarus
Female Orgasm

I’m not doin’ any search, I already know. It’s red necks, white socks and blue ribbon beer.

PA is first for “lesbian.” It also says there’s a positive correlation with unemployment. I guess if you don’t have a job, you have more time to look at porn.

Michigan wins for Sex.

(Along with Segregation, Cider, and Lake Effect.)

Oregon:

Intel
Farmers Market
Microbrew
Coffee

ETA: Books

and way up there for “river”, “salmon”, and “land use”.

Florida:

Heat
Alligator (tied with LA)
Cuba
Anal
Sinkhole
Crazy: South Dakota
Penis: Pennsylvania
Buttsex: Connecticut
Clitoris and Orgasm: Utah

California:

Avocado
Freeway
Speed
Silicon, but only number two for silicone
Bro
Hella
Scientology
Infinity
Prius, Ferrari, Porsche and Maserati

Alaska and Wyoming are tied for beastiality.
Utah is number one for pornography, lingerie and bikini.

All I could find for Minnesota was Red Pine. Somehow, New Hampshire stole Loon from us!

Tennessee is #1 in Cornbread!

Time to get you fingers typing in searches for Loon.

Top for states searching for beer: PA, WI, MA, OH, MI
Top five states searching for wine: CA, NY, WA, OR, DC

Hmmmmm.

The only thing I could find Michigan leading in was Kwame. D’oh. We suck.

Florida is apparently the nation’s leading consumer of porn.

By far, Minnesota takes first place for Sweden.

New Hampshire is number one in searches for a frappe! Yum.

Also civil unions

We win for SEX?

Did I miss the memo?
You forgot:

Pot Holes
Coastline
Hunters
Pasties
Kid Rock
Fudge

This seems backwards to me, unless I’m misunderstanding. I want to see what terms are popular for a particular state, not try to think of particular terms and see which states are most commonly associated with their use as a search term.

These same things – Pennsylvania and unemployment correlation – are also true of “snausages”, highly implying that I don’t want to know what y’all are doing with your dogs up there.

Washington and Oregon are tied for being all about the Ninjas. For Pirates, it’s Pennsylvania (and unemployment) again. Buncha bored jobless baseball-watching lesbian bestiality lovers, the lot of ya.

Georgia wins Coke; no surprises there. Pepsi’s stronghold is apparently Colorado by a wide margin, which I did not know.

This is interesting. I go now to kill a few otherwise-productive minutes. Thanks, SDMB! (Oddly enough, “SDMB” is most popular in Georgia. Who’da thunk?)

Ohio is first for “buckeyes” and “scioto” – hardly surprising

No, but you missed quite a scavenger hunt.

Buncha red states come up first when you search for underage pussy…

Oddly though, the yare first for Chipotle, quite surprising in a state where possesion of an more than an ounce of cumin is a felony.
