Wasn’t her name Meenie or something close to that? I think she had numerals after her name, too.
Without going into a lot of detail (it’s still a touchy subject to some and the last thing I want to do is hurt anyone’s feelings) we were able to locate enough evidence to prove to the satisfaction of management that the situation was not at all as it was presented to us and in fact was most likely as Chronos reports it. (IIRC Chronos was on staff at the time and I’m sure all that is burned into his memory, those of us who were involved will sure never forget.)
While we’re talking about staffers, I should take this opportunity to give a big shout out to samclem, who did a lot of investigative work on this situation. Huge props to him for his dedication and hard work on this and everyone else he does, it’s a monumental gift to all of us.
One of these days I should write stuff down – 18+ years on the scene, that’s a lot of blood under the bridge. I have no doubt forgotten a ton of stuff – not counting the stuff I’d like to forget. Perhaps I need to go to a Dopefest and let people [del]ply me with liquor[/del] inquire. Like asking your grandfather what he did in the war. ![]()
FWIW (as someone who has lived through similar stuff), I came out of it with these realizations:
- If you have done everything you could do, you have done everything.
- There is nothing more than everything.
You don’t sound bitter as much as you do disappointed that there’s not better outcomes, but the lack of those better outcomes is not based on anything you have done or not done and you are not responsible.
Which leads me to: “Hope for the best and let the rest go.” Keep doing what you need to do but don’t feel guilty in the wake of it. There is nothing more than everything.
I want to see what happened to PSYer’s mental girlfriend or something like, even though she had a boyfriend and was apparently stringing him along.
I hope I spelled his username correctly.
Still a scandal in Atlanta.
And it happened again this summer, just not in downtown Atlanta.

Re Eve
Una Persson Interviewed Eve last year. Gimme a bit and I think I can find the thread with a link to the interview. The short version is that she is fine and owns a hat that looks like a fried egg.
Found it!
That was awesome, thanks for reposting it.
He finished his doctorate. Previously he had encountered difficulty.
Oh, yay! Wonderful news!

It’s slightly morbid, but I often wonder, especially when an old thread is zombified, how many of the no longer active posters have died and the circumstances thereof. Sort of like when I think about how there’s an ever growing network of dead people accounts on facebook and as time passes and their friends die, a network of connections fossilizes pointing from one dead person to other dead people and it just slowly grows.
He confessed that he was jerking our chains here.
